It may be 20 years ago today, but my PTSD tells me it was an hour ago . . .
Vladimir was more than just my employer, I considered him a friend. He had a huge impact on my life then and still now, those memories carry me forward, which was his way. He empowered people, and I can never thank him enough for doing that for me and many others.
Carpé Diem was the screen saver on Vlad’s computer, and he enjoyed listening to Vivaldi. Tonight I raise my pint to him and I will listen to the Four Seasons by Vivaldi in his memory.
Rest in peace Vladimir, and to all the victims of this act of hate. Love an peace to all who were affected and one day may we live in a world free of religious and cultural discrimination . . . A world without hate or war, where we can all live in peace and harmony.

I worked with Vlad while at Ernst & Young in Toronto. Always appreciated his sharp mind and helpful nature giving my deliverables a thorough review. Did not appreciate him beating me in tennis on a consistent basis as much!
Your friends still think about you 20 years later. The world was a better place with you in it, my friend. You are missed

Vlad, I miss you, but have never forgotten you. You were an awesome man to work for and with at Optus and I thank you for all you taught me in such a short time. May you rest in peace and may your loved ones and family find some solace and peace in knowing how much you meant to so many people. I always remember you when I listen to Vivaldi's Four Seasons, and I can't help myself but to cry at the loss that this world endured on that day.

I knew Vladimir when he was working for E&Y. He saved my sanity many times. I still think about him and his wife. I hope she has been able to find some peace and happiness in her life.
A very cruel fate for one of the more remarkable people I have ever met.

I have never met Vladimir until September 11, 2002, which is today. I feel that I met him in spirit because I held a candle for him while I also held a card stating his name, age, where he was from, and where he was on 9/11/01. I will lite his candle every month from now on on the 11th. He will be in my prayers and thoughts.

I had the pleasure of knowing Vladimir when he worked for Ontario Power Generation in Toronto. I'll never forget how excited he was the day he left OPG to start his new career at Optus- he was truly a great person to know and we at OPG will always miss him.

Father we entrust our brother Vladimir to your mercy. You loved him greatly in this life: now that he is freed from all its cares, give him happiness and peace forever. Welcome him now into paradise where there will be no more sorrow, no more weeping or pain, but only peace and joy with Jesus your Son, and the Holy Spirit forever and ever.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
