Again, I wear your bracelet. It is on an old and wrinkled wrist. I'm so sorry you were not able to age and see your darling daughter grown. I'm 72 years old. I will leave this bracelet for my granddaughter to continue the legacy. Even though she was not born when you died, we must teach the young ones to honor you and all the others that perished on that day. Marlene Hinkle Taylor

Dear dad,
I miss you so much. I've bee doing well im school. I hope your proud of me. It'll be fifteen years since I spent the holidays with you. Soon it'll be thanksgiving. I still remember how we always used to play football. And my birthday comes soon afterwards. I still have the bike you got me. I remember Christmas was always your favorite and "Santa" would always leave me the best presents. Even though so much time has passed its still hard to not have you their celebrating with the rest of the family. The amount of joy you would radiate during those times have been extremely missed. Even though it seems like everyone has moved your, your absence hurts me as much as it did the day you were taken from us Thank you for being the best father in the world. Even though you were a short part of my life you are the most significant part of it. I am so grateful for all the memories I have of you and your memory will always live on in my heart. I love and miss you so much!
Love,
Your daughter

Hello Joseph,
I address you as though you're still with us because you are, somewhere else. Thanks for connecting with me when I saw your name with the white rose. It means a lot to me being in desperate need of connections with people that I have clung to God alone because of the inconsistencies relating to people.
At first I didn't know why I was so drawn to your and another fallen hero's names. I figured it was the beautiful white roses that were left there. But after reading both your and her guestbooks on here, I realized that you would have been 53 years old today, when I visited the 9/11 memorial and museum! on your birthday! :)
Because your spirit lives on, we were able to meet in a special way, and for that I am grateful and will remember you always.
Blessings to you and your family,
SASH

Dear Mr Pick,
We first met in 1999. I was Jennette's baby sitter. I was so saddened to hear the news. My heart brakes for your family. Especially, for Jennette. I remember how her face would glow as soon as she'd would see you. She'd jump up into your arms to hug you and she would wrap her legs around you, as if to never let go. Its just surreal to know that you're gone. You and Marie were loving dedicated parents. I will never forget, your kindness and sincerity. I pray that you continue to watch over your beautiful daughter. Though she's a grown woman now, I too can relate to her loss. I lost my father at a very young age, to tragedy. My hope is that both she and Marie find strength in each other. May you rest in peace, Amen!

I never knew you or your family, Joseph. I lived in Hoboken, NJ, and moved to Charlottesville, Virginia on Sept. 16, 2000. After the events of Sept. 11, I returned to Hoboken and NYC to comfort a friend who witnessed the second plane striking the WTC, and to comfort myself as well.
Over a three-day period, I shot dozens of photographs to document what I saw, so I could share with others and help those who didn't have a personal connection to the area realize how devastating it truly was to us New Yorkers (I am an LI native).
One picture, though, still haunts me. It is of a "missing" poster your daughter Jeanette made, that was on a street post in Hoboken. I am attaching it now to share with your friends and family. Looking at it today and seeing this guest book has made me cry about all those we lost for the first time in perhaps seven years.
To Joseph's family...If you find this picture to be too difficult to see, please delete it and my entry, and accept my apologies. I am so, so sorry for your loss. Jeanette touched my heart deeply and I wanted to let you know.

Dear Joe
Happy 43rd birthday in Heaven. I think of you often and wish you were here. You would be happy to see how Jeannette has grown. She is maturing into a young lady. She and Julianna have become special companions and share many secrets. We spend lots of time together which makes her happy. Her happiness matters most to me. She will grow up with you in her heart and her memories. AD and Popeye had a mass for you. They miss you and miss seeing you with Jeannette. How I wish I could hear all those names, songs and other silly references you had for so many...esp me. How happy I would be to hear you call me dog!!! Jeannette will always have you near her...stay close to her....miss you...Dog

Dear Joe,
Wish you were here to celebrate your birthday with us. I miss all your visits with Jeanette and all the joy you put in our lives. The pool is not the same without you. You were the official life guard. It is seldom used since you went away.
You are always in my heart. I miss all the times we shared. Thank you for taking me to Hoboken to listen to Frank Sinatra at an Italian restaurant there. You always think of everyone.
It wasn't meant to end this way.
God bless you. You are always in my heart. My family is your family and they all miss you. Today Frank said to me, "I love that guy!"
Love you always.

Joe,
You filled may life with kindness and love. Your love for me and my family was so special. You brought so much joy into my life.
I miss your phone calls and visits with Jeanette. You always knew how to make me laugh. You had so much knowledge about the world. When something happened that made the news, your predictions were usually right.
You were so kind to all the children. I could always count on you to be a lifeguard when the kids were in the swimming pool.
From the time you were a baby, I loved you. I remember when you were about five years old and I was watching you at my house. You went home and told your mother you swallowed a marble. I felt so bad because you mother had to take you to a doctor. Twenty years later, you told me you really didn't swallow that marble. You were a trip.
I will miss your laugh and the way you loved to tease and make people happy.
Thank you for taking me to Hoboken and the great restaurant that Frank Sinatra ate at. Thank you for all the roses that you sent to me for my birthday's and Mother's Day.
You were so invincable. I thought you would always be here. I wish we could go back to September 10th and tell everyone to stay home so that all the beautiful lives would not have been lost.
You worked so hard. You were a success in the military, as a student, in business, but most of all you were a great and loyal father.
I pray for all the lives that should never have been taken on September 11.
I miss you. You will be in my heart forever. You are a son to me. I know you are with your mother in heaven, but I am selfish and want you back here with me. But you are still here, living in my heart and memories.
Love,
Mom

Joe,
To share often and much...to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
Only the Lord knows why he brought you home that day with so many others. I pray you are with your mom. I know how much you missed her.
I love you, Joe (even though you would bite me when we were small). You have been a special friend my entire life. When I think about all the memories we have shared, it brings a smile to my face (sometimes a loud laugh) and a warm love to my heart.
I miss you...always.
I pray that the Lord will watch over Jeanette and Marie and give them His strength and love now and always.
Sometimes the people we meet change our lives forever. You have changed mine.
You will live on in my heart.
Love always...
Colleen
I hope you dance!
