Ernest, I never met you. I looked up the name Alikakos on the site, not expecting to find anyone. But of course I did. That is my last name also. May your memory be eternal. Rest in peace. And to your family and friends, may they remember you fondly in the good times you shared.

I remember seeing you and your younger brother with your other on Underhill Avenue, Brooklyn. You were my brother's Obed's good friend. My heart aches when I remember you and your brother and parents, and now you are gone, you and so many others..... You are missed by so many. Prayers for your family.

It had been years since we have seen each other even when you worked at the WTC. I remember you dearly. You are with GOD now but will never be forgotten.

Ernie,
You will be greatly missed. Even though we only saw one another during functions at Bisi and Kenny's house, you are still missed. I did not even know you worked in the Trade Center until Kent told us you worked in Tower 2. The fact that you, Bisi, Griselda, Cynthia and Rosemarie will not be seen again is horrific. I stood 6 blocks away from the building and watched it crumbled down knowing Bisi and the rest of you were in the building and could not get out. I pray for all of you each and every night. I know that God is watching over all of you and you are all in good hands. God Bless You.

Even though I did not know you, Ernest, I stitched your name, with a picture of the WTC, on the Memorial Flag Project, which will contain the names of all the American people who have died in terrorist actions. I pray that you, your family and friends, are at peace.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
