I never met Bob, but we had talked on the phone and I had just sent him a business letter the week before this tragedy.
I always think about him on the anniversary. Rest in peace Bob.

We just learned today from a Facebook site of the tragedy of Robert Colin's passing. Dana to me - both he and Maryann had homes across from my childhood home - and Bob to my husband - they were very good friends at Kings Point. Bob was best man at our wedding and we remember him so fondly. Our hearts go out to Maryann and to your children. We will always remember Bob and what a genuinely sweet man he was.

I've been working with the GMATS program at KP this past several months and visit the Vine Arbors often to say hello. The loss still makes no sense, and we will never forget.

Bin Laden was killed today in which the U.S. and the free world rejoice.
This will not bring back Bob in which there is still heartbreak of family & friends.
I just wanted to take a moment in remembrance of Bob on this important day in history.

Classmates, accustomed to long absences, secure in the knowledge that a common experience would always link us. The link remains, but your having been taken leaves a hole in the fabric. I have faith that you now know what a butterfly sounds like.

And on this seventh year I again say hello. The effects of that day will not go away but I have gone away from NY in search of new peace in North Carolina. No matter where I am however, I will remember your sincerity, friendship, and professionalism.

Bob,
I was shocked, stunned and saddened as I came across this notice. Seemed it was only yesterday that I met you at Great Eastern Associates and knew then that you were a special person. I still have your framed railroad locomotive that you drew for me on the wall of my den and will cherish it always.
I am the fortunate one to have met and known you!
Lynn and I send our heartfelt sympathy to Maryanne and family.

Last Wednesday evening a chorale of around 180 singers and the SB Symphony performed the Mozart Requiem. Although many of us had sung it before, this time all was new. It wasn't simply a performance but a memorial. We have never, ever before performed it quite like this. All performers and those in the audience wore red hearts inscribed with a name of one of those lost. Mine had the name of Mr. Colin. I sang the Requiem for all of them, for those who loved them, for all who mourn. I sang for Robert. Lux aeterna luceat eis, Domine.

To Mr. Colin's family,
I don't know you and probably never will, but I want you to know that I, as well as many others will be keeping you in our prayers for the rest of our lives, that somehow through the pain, God comfort you and hold you in His arms when you need it most. I am so sorry for your loss.

I chose your name, Bob, from among several hundred cards printed by Associated Ministries, local sponsors of '9.11 A day of memory, hope and action' because RDC is awfully close to RGC. Like many who have signed here we were once all strangers; now all brought together. Tomorrow my wife and I will begin our day of MEMORY at Mozart's Rolling Requiem in Tacoma's Mason Methodist Church. In HOPE, tomorrow at 7 pm we will join thousands at Cheney Stadium for a community service of families in song, prayer and celebration for your life and others. In ACTION last Saturday my wife, Deanna and I each donated blood - in your memory and honor, and that of Deanna Galante (8+ months pregnant with her first son) who also perished at WTC. We will pray for you, your family, your co-workers like Bruce at Aon and so many others as we all struggle to fill the void. May each of us in some small way add to your legacy, lessen the loss, and divide the pain. Rest in Peace, Bob.

Hey Bob, its me again. Here it is one year later and the void we feel remains a gaping hole. Tomorrow a group of us will gather at a local church to pray and reflect. You are in our thoughts and our hearts. Rest in peace.

In memory of Robert D. Colin
We did not know Robert, but my husband is a brother of Cam Sutton who works for Aon. I came across this on the internet and wanted to express our deepest sympathy. I have thought of all the lives lost that day and especially of the ones from my brother-in-laws office and it still hurts deeply. Our deepest deepest sympathy to the family.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

You were cousin to my step-mother, Christine Gray. I never knew you--but I know you must have meant a lot to her, as this has been such a trying time for her.
My heart is still breaking from this awful, awful tragedy. I will continue to think about you in my prayers at night, and hope that you're resting peacefully.
I'm sorry I could never know you--but your spirit lives on in your family.
All my love,
Janet
