Dearest Cousin Vinny, our real life Hero. So much has changed in 15 years it's so hard to believe so much time has passed. As we sat and watched the names of the fallen being read this morning I was explaining to my son Jack all about you today. We have always kept you alive in our hearts and talk about the fun guy you were! My Dad kept your prayer card with him all the time, he cherished your memory and talked about you often. I know that he is now in Heaven with you and I'm sure you are catching up on all the years missed. Rest in peace and keep watching out for your family. Until we meet again..... Keep Heaven a party as you would want it to be! Cheers to your bravery it will never be forgotten!

Reading his brief bio...he is someone I really wish I had met. He seemed to enjoy life, and also making people laugh.

My Dad was a friend and business associate of your sister Bernadette, which is how I had first heard of you in my early days as an NYSE floor clerk! I proudly carry the same name, yet without the honor that you do for your service and bravery. To Vinny's family
Earlier today, Wake Forest, NC held its annual Tunnel to Towers 5k run to honor the memories of those lost on 9/11 and to recognize and give thanks to all of those who put their lives at risk for the benefit of their communities around the country. Many of us were honored to carry with us a badge with the name and photo of one of the FDNY firefighters who gave the ultimate sacrifice that day. I was honored to run with Vinny, and he has been in my thoughts all day long. My thoughts and prayers are with you as the anniversary of Vinny's passing approaches.

Dear Cousin Vinny,
I had the honor of attending the Memorial Mass at St.Patricks Cathedral held this Saturday It was a beautiful tribute to the lives lost its hard to believe 10 years has come and gone. Your daughter Christina is a picture image of you, and has a warm and an adorable personality. Bernadette and I often talk about your love of Montauk and how you would love to take a ride and go fishing out there. This summer I sat on the beach in Montauk and Imagined how the sun ,the moon & the stars and the waves of course! were the same way you left them and I hoped you were fishing and surfing in heaven. It is overwhelming to see how many people have honored you and keep you and your family in their prayers, I am truly honored to say that you are my cousin and our personal hero you put your life on the line to help save others on that tragic day.... Absolutely priceless!
I tell my son Jack all about that day and how "our cousin" was a real Hero! He started religion class on 9/11 and is in the 1st grade. I will always keep you alive in our home and family.

I was a classmate of Vinnie's from St. Lucy's grammar school in the Bronx and graduated with him in 1975. He was so cool - even back then. 9/11 touch me so deeply - I was right there in NYC myself when we were attacked. My heart breaks even more so now knowing that it took not only the brave lives I never knew, but this brave life who I knew as well. Rest in peace, Vinnie, and God bless your family.

I work in a small suburban fire department in IL. On September 11, we held a ceremony to honor all the fallen firefighters of 9/11. We were given a list of names of the firefighters who died and we were to pick a name from the list to pray for their family. I picked Vincent's name and prayed for his family.
That night my husband and I were watching the History Channel and they showed two programs about 9/11. During the program, they showed a group of firefighters walking towards the towers and on the back of one of the firefighters coats was PRINC. I said to my husband, I think that is the guy that I picked at work today. When I went back on Monday I looked at the list and Vincent had the only last name that began with "PRINC". It was interesting to me that I saw the man whose name I picked and whose family I prayed for and will now continue to pray for. May God Bless and keep your family safe Vincent. Thank you for your bravery.

Hi Vincent,
I've been flying an American flag with your name on the flag pole outside of my home since just after 911. I am a Firefighter in Newport Beach CA, I carried the flag with your name on it in a 4th of July parade in 2002 in Huntington Beach along with 342 other Firefighters each carry a flag with a different name. I am touched by your sacrafice and by the loss your family must feel. My little boy knows your name and what you did, he knows why we fly your flag and all the good that it represents. So here you are protecting my home and the West Coast of the United States of America just like you protected the East Coast for FDNY. Your flag looks at the Pacific Ocean every day like you are watching over our shores. I will fly your flag always and continue to tell everyone that passes by who you are and the sacrafice that you made.
To the Princiotta family, if you are ever in the neighborhood please stop in at Newport Beach Fire Sta.#4 and as for Captain White. If you would send me an e-mail I'll send back a picture of the flag and where it hangs. Maybe you can make it for a BBQ?
I am so sorry for your loss, I don't know Vincent but I think of him often as he stands in front of my home every day.
All my best from my family to yours,
Glenn

I know that you're doing your street renaming ceremony tomorrow. I have a website about the guys, the 343 plus the 3 retired guys and I am taking pictures of each of the street signs for my website.
But the picture doesn't feel like enough. I really want to be there with you, so that you know that I haven't forgotten, that America hasn't forgotten, and while we're laughing again, we still grieve with you.
I think of you every day. And wherever I am tomorrow, my heart will be with you on the corner of Allerton and Bronxwood!

Dear Princiotta Family,
All those years spent as kids in the neighborhood attending St Lucy, being part of the CYO , Day Camp, and just plain growing up Bronx, reminded me of where we have been on our way to adulthood.
I will make sure that this tragdey that so personally affected both our families will never be forgotten.
We spoke briefly at the St Lucy 50th Anniversary event where both Vincent and my twin brother John D'Allara were honored.
The following week I found myself at NYC Hall adressing the Mayor and NYC City Council about John, Vincent, and the 50th Anniversary of St Lucy grammer school.
Sometime in the near future they will rename the intersection of Bronxwood and Allerton Ave after John and Vincent.
By their their lifegiving sacrafice they have earned a rightful place in the history of NYC for an individual act of extraordinary bravery preformed in the line of duty at imminent personal danger to life and saftey.
You can never heal a broken heart but you can learn to build your life around it.
God Bless you all,
Your Friend Forever (YFF),
Patricia Stern

My thoughts and prayers are with the Princiotta family on this 4th anniversary of September 11, 2001. Although I did not know Vincent personally, I felt the loss of a loved one through his sister Michele.
