Dear Christopher,
Today is 20 years since your physical life was taken away from everyone when loved you, your family, your close friends and all those whose lives you have touched in the short 32 years here on Earth. Every year on this day (and plenty of other days in the calendar) my thoughts are of you and your family. I know your dad, Tom is now by your side, and I pray that your mother, Linda and brother, David are okay. Your mother and I were once good friends, now out of touch, but I think of her often, and pray that she is okay. For my remaining days, I will always think of you and your family and my wishes for all of you are that you are all at peace

I just went through the papers that came out of the glove box of my old car. We drove it to your memorial, and one of the memory bookmarks ended up in the door pocket, now I've put it in my current car. I was married to your cousin back then. I hope that the whole family is well and happy, and think of you and them often. <3

I did not ever have the pleasure of knowing you but I remember working on a detail in Long Island on 9/11 with one of your cousins. Funny, I dont remember her name but I do remember yours and will never forget it. Whenever I think of 9/11 I say a prayer for you particularly and also for all the others. May you rest in peace. You truly will never be forgotten. May your family have some peace in knowing that your sacrifice touched lives across the globe.

I can't believe it has been 10 years already. I remember when you left our office, how much we missed you and all that you had done for us. I am saddened you were not here to laugh throughout the years with me, Helene and the other ADAs whom you helped do justice in Queens. I remember the last words I said to you,"Be safe!" as I reached up to hug you goodbye. Know that you are so missed and I am so mad you didn't listen, but so proud of the hero you became!

Chris,
Happy Belated 40th Birthday in Heaven. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Birthdays In Heaven
Are there birthdays in Heaven?
Does the angel blow his horn?
Announcing to everybody
That this is the day you were born?
Can the stars be your balloons
And angel food your cake?
Presents wrapped in moonbeams
All the angels helped to make.
Birthdays meant so much to you
They were always a big deal
Birthday presents, lots of friends
And perhaps a special meal.
So we'll whisper a little prayer today
Asking everyone up above
To sing you a Happy Birthday song
And give you all our love.

Hi "Super" Chris ... yesterday (9/11) I went to Battery Park (I work in the area as you know) and left you a note at the Eternal Flame. I waited and watched several people read the dedication that I left and to know that your face and name was read and seen by others made me happy. The day also brought tears almost as if this tragic event happened yesterday - we miss you and your smile. The healing process is long and hard - especially on the anniversary when the days events are once again remembered with the memorial service at Ground Zero. I was able to sign the steel beam that will be used for the WTC Memorial while I was there, which made my heart a little lighter. Again, it's hard to imagine that 7 years ago we lived through one of the most devistating days of our lives, both as New Yorker's and American's, and; as a global nation. We are strong and have lived to tell the story...you will never be forgotten for your heroism. I recently lost another friend, Danny Farkas, defending our country. Thank you both for our FREEDOM. We miss you !

Hi Chris, whenever I hear 9/11 I think of you, and your sacrifice to help others. I knew you from Church of the Resurrection in Richmond Hill and I watched you grow up there. What fun we had during services; me in choir and you at the altar. It has been 5 years... wow... I visited the 'site' in July and saw your name, and left you some tears. God bless you and your family and friends, too.

I knew Chris from the high school years...We weren't close friends but our paths crossed many times and i always admired his sense of humor and his love for "rock" music. I joined the NYPD in 1989 and after that horrific day i looked over the names of the firefighters lost and then i saw Chris' name. I have lost contact with him many many years ago and didn't know he was a firefighter, so when i saw his name i was so shocked and sad. Chris you were a hero then and still are today. I have thought of the sacrifice you made on 9/11 many times and i thank you for it. May you rest in peace and God Bless You.

Dear Chris,
Even though we never met I feel like we were friends forever. You see my son FDNY FF Michael Kiefer was also murdered on 9-11. I'm sure you have met him by now in heaven.Well my husband and I go to an FDNY Support group for parents who lost their sons. Three years ago we met and became very good friends with your parents. We have cried together and try to help each other through the pain. Our pain got worse when we lost your father. I know he is with you now and I know that took his pain away. As for the rest of us who were left behind it hurts so much. Your mom misses you and your dad so much. We worry about her but we want you and dad to know that we will be there for her whenever she needs or wants anything. Please give your dad a big kiss from me and if you see my Michael kiss him to. Rest in Peace our dear friend.
With love,

Dear Chris,
It's been 2 years today and I have thought about you constantly all day long. It's a bittersweet feeling; we all miss our cousin terribly and feel so strongly for David and Aunt Linda and Uncle Tommy. And we feel sad for ourselves too because we've been deprived of the natural things that should have occurred, like going to your wedding someday and having baby showers for your children, and christenings and first communions and all that. And now we'll never have those things with you. But you will forever be in our thoughts and prayers, and we'll be proud forever of you and your bravery, and even just the way you lived your life. We miss you, Chris. I hope you're up there looking down on us and sending your love and strength to your parents and your brother. We try to support them but they still need you and miss you so much. God bless you and keep you.
Love, your cousin Susan.
