It's been almost 20 years Brother. I still miss you every day. This time of year is hard for me, and my Mom even came to speak to me the other morning, and she has been dead for over 2 years. I am not sure what she was saying, but it had some meaning. I miss you, and maybe I will see you soon.

Just got done climbing 110 flights of stairs in honor of Paul. I didn't know anything about him upon his name being given to me. After researching him I am honored that I did it for him. I am a firefighter and I just completed building a home for me and my family just like Paul was doing. We will never forget you and your comrades Paul!

I have the special honor of walking for Mr. Paul Beyer this coming Sept. 11th at the 9-11 Red Rocks Climb in Colorado. I cannot imagine the incredible loss his family has experienced. As a mother and wife I will say a prayer for his family and loved ones. I hope and pray that his family and friends are comforted even just a little knowing that Paul will not be forgotten.

To The Family,
I did not have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Paul Beyer but a man brave enough to be a Firefighter who died in an effort to save others is truly a " hero."
In God's new order, when Mr. Beyer is awaken from the sleep of death and with the opportunity of living forever he will then have the privilege of fulfilling his dream of building the house that he desired before the horrific day of 9/11. Please accept my deepest of sympathy in the loss of your loved one.
Sincerely,
Mr. Terry of NC

To my brother Paul, there is now another memorial in your firehouse. I wish I could have been there for the dedication, but since I attended our class reunion the week before, I could not attend the dedication of your sculpture. I will see it as soon as I can. Arlene and the boys are doing great, and I am glad that I am still involved in their life, as a Godfather and all! Love you brother, stay safe, keep my reservations in Heaven for me! See you when my time comes!
God Bless!

To my brother Paul, it is almost exactly 4 years ago, that I got the most memorable e-mail from you. You told me how you have attended too many FD funeral services, and it made you think of the value of true friends. I will never forget that, nor will I ever forget your life long friendship. I miss you bro, and not a day goes by with out me thinking of you, and wishing I could have one more chance to talk to you again. I keep reminding Arlene that I am still here for her, and Michael, and my God Son Shawn.
I know that every time I don my turn out gear, you are up there, watching over me, and keeping me safe.
I know, that when God transfers me to "The Big House", I will be able to stand by your side again Brother.
I miss you, and love you bro,

TO THE FAMILY:
Time has passed, but not the pain!
Paul's life was way to short,
He still had everything to gain.
Fire fighting was his life,
To that job, He was true,
And for that job Paul,
We will NEVER forget YOU
Paul leaves behind a loving wife
And his children of 2,
Who will always Cherish your memory,
In everything they do.
But most of all Paul,We want you to know,
WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU!

Being so far away a year ago when this tragedy happened, I didn't know anyone personally who was killed. But after watching the memorial yesterday and seeing someone with the same last name, I was overwhelmed with grief all over again. From one Beyer to another .... may God bless your family and continue to keep the memories of Paul in the forefront of your mind. My prayers are with your family and friends.

Dear Paul,
Today I received my bracelet with your name on it. I liked the name, the one someone had selected to send me. And immediately I wanted to know about the person behind it. Who, exactly, was Paul Beyer?
I learned you are just a year older than my eldest son. I learned you have two sons, whereas I have three. And I know yours still miss you very much, as does your wife.
And I want you to know that as America stands poised to commemorate that infamous day in history, a majority of us left behind will not forget the lesson so many of you paid for with your lives.
You remain forever in our thoughts and prayers.

Welcome him now into paradise where there will be no more sorrow, no more weeping or pain, but only peace and joy with Jesus your Son, and the Holy Spirit forever and ever.

Arlene;
God Bless you & your family. I retired from FDNY & knew quite a few families that lost loved ones on 9/11. I lived on the same street as Paul & our son was one of Paul's best friends. We lost another one from our street too as you know. I also belonged to a club many years ago with your father.
Remember Paul was doing what he loved and died doing what he was trained to do. He is well remembered. Enjoy the home. And again, God Bless.

For the Beyer family, and all the families of the brothers we lost on 9-11. There is no greater love, than that of a man who would lay down his life for another.
Paul was one of those kinds of guys, having known him for over 30 years. We all will miss him.
God Bless us all, stay safe!

Clare,
What words can I say to you and your family that will ease your suffering?
I don't pretend to know your pain, but I do share in your sorrow.
I know that you are proud of Paul, for the way he lived and for how he died, giving his life to save others. But that doesn't make it any easier to accept.
I hope knowing that there are so many people praying for him, and for you and the rest of your family, will ease the pain somewhat.
Please know that I am praying for you too.
I hope you can feel God's arms around you right now.
Love, Barbara

To The Beyer Family,
I have enclosed a portion of a poem, one of many I couldn't resist writing, since September 11. I hope you find some comfort from these words sent with love:
"The Days Have Been Long"
"I am sorry for the pain you've endured...I am sending my prayers, that is assured.
God welcomed your beloved Paul before that day was done...He now looks upon you, forgetting you none.
The Days Have Been Long...and what happened so wrong.
What I pray for...for you to go on...and savor the sunset and the new day's dawn.
Paul has shown us what makes a man a firefighter...There is nothing greater, no star that is brighter.
Look beyond today and I hope you will smile...as you walk along this difficult mile!"
God Bless you, the Family of Paul Beyer and Rest In Peace, Firefighter Paul Beyer!

Your husband is a hero in the eyes of me and my children. We know if it wasn't for men like your Paul our world would be a different place. Your children should be proud to have a father like him and I hope that one day when you have grandchildren they will also know what a man their grandfather was. God bless you and your family.

We thank Paul very much for devoting his life to save lives, fight fires and care for others as a firefighter. Such a deep dedication comes with a brave, warm and caring heart. May Paul's courage, life and love live on in those who love him and in those who have been touched by his life. May warm memories of yesterday lighten the pain in your hearts. May you always feel the warmth of Paul's love radiate deep into your hearts especially when you close your eyes in the home made of love that he built for all of you. The maltese cross sounds like it will be a perfect carving in the chimney. We are deeply sorry for our nation's loss of Paul. Our hearts cry with you in America's loss of a hero.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
