Dear Melissa, Dear Georgia Rose,
I'm a french brother and I live in France. Since 9/11 I think often about JW died at WTC. And a special think for their family. 5700 km ... but the same God... the same hope of paradise. For you, this picture with my fraternal affection. Your brother Alexander H, in France.

I did not know George, yet for some reason I took this photo on September 23rd, 2016 because it was such an overwhelmingly beautiful sight. The flower was placed so perfectly, I thought that a loved one may have left it. I did not know the tradition of placing a rose in the name on that person's birthday. I looked up his obituary and read about his life and character.
I was drawn to photograph this event. I thought that I should share it because there are powers in the universe which unite us in life and death. May God bless you George, your family, and all of us.

Dearest Sister DiPasquale,
Please allow me to express my deepest condolences for you and your daughter. It may have been very challenging raising her without Brother DiPasquale, however, what a loving provision we all have our heavenly Father Jehovah to guide and comfort us when no one else can. How proud Jehovah, Jesus, and the Angels were with Brother DiPasquale for daily living according to God's righteous standards, so much so that his colleagues gave him the nickname, "Holy Man". As Jehovah's chariot is moving ever faster, I envision the video, 'Just Around the Corner'. You and Georgia Rose patiently waiting while out in the yard planting fruits and vegetables. You both decide to go into the house to clean up and have some lunch and to your surprise Brother DiPasquale is standing there with red roses for you and pink roses for his beautiful daughter. From that point on, as Jehovah has promised, everlasting blessings! Until we welcome back Brother Pasquale, take care my dear sisters.

I have recently returned to the UK from a holiday to NYC and wanted to visit the 9/11 memorial to pay my respects. I have a photo from the waterfall where George's name is the only one I could make out clearly so looked him up. I found this site and wanted to also pay my thanks and respects for the braveness that George showed on that day and no doubt countless others. Rest in peace George.

An assignment in my junior year Theology class was to find a victim of the 9/11 attacks and sign his or her guest book. I couldn't help but be touched by George's story. Thank you for giving so much. You are a true example of the sacrifices given by our firefighters, and you will never be forgotten.

My son dino was reading the list of names of the Americans that died on 911 and came across George Di pasquale . He asked if we were related to him. I replied , I would be proud to have a hero like George in my family. I have many relatives in New York.

Dear Sister DiPasquale:
On this 10th anniversary of this horrible event, I remembered an article from the Awake about the events and survivors of that day. So I looked it up and re-read it. I came across Bro. DiPasquale's name and wondered if I could find anything online. My research led me to this site. I just want to convey my sincerest regards for you and your daughter. World events strongly indicate that we are in the final moments of this wicked system and that God's Kingdom will soon usher in the long-awaited paradise! May we all stay strong to see that joyful day arrive!

I also do not know you personally, but today, the 10th anniversary of your passing, I am wearing your name on an armband given out at our church. The message is to forgive 70X7. It's hard but we are trying to follow His Word. I now have a face to go with the name.
You will never be forgotten.

George,
I knew you many years ago while we were at River Dell together and realized only today that you made the ultimate sacrifice. I too was there that day, an Operating Engineer responding to the call of duty to assist the tenants of the buildings in which I served for many years prior.
Knowing now that you came to save me has changed my perspective of that day.
I have been fortunate enough to have been given the opportunity to return to the site to give back to those who were lost, a place to be mourned, respected and remembered, as you will be forever.
Thank you my friend. I look forward to meeting you again.

GEORGE DIPASQUALE
I have not heard his name in conversation in so many years, though from time to time I have thought of him and I remember his positive energy and that in Junior High School we shared a common love of the cartoon show "Thundarr the Barbarian" and Jimi Hendrix. As a member of The Port Authority Pipe and Drum Corps of NYC, I have been to the site and to services many times and must admit I feel a little ashamed that it is only here and now that I offer my thanks and prayers to him for the first time, because I did not know until today.
George, we are all thankful for your service, and deeply saddened to hear of your passing, "fly on little wing."

Death, be not proud
Death, be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
For those whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow
Die not, poor Death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be,
Much pleasure; then from thee much more must flow,
And soonest our best men with thee do go,
Rest of their bones, and soul's delivery.
Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,
And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell,
And poppy or charms can make us sleep as well
And better than thy stroke; why swell'st thou then?
One short sleep past, we wake eternally
And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die.

To the Family and Friends of George DiPasquale, I wanted to let you know that George's sacrifice has not been forgotten. I had the honor & privilege of carrying George's memory with me during the annual 911 Stair Climb Memorial, located in Denver, Colorado. My family is from and still lives on Staten Island, NY and I truly appreciate the men and women of FDNY that continue to look after my family.

I was blessed to be part of George's family through marriage. Allthough we were not cousins through blood we were cousins! A children we did all the stupid silly things that kids do without ever having a care in the world. George and my brother Ed would make me eat rocks as a kid, they got a kick out of it and it is a funny heartwarming memory now, one that I have probably taken for granted for many years. On 9-11-01 My first thought was of my brother, working in Manhattan, then my younger sister who also worked in Manhattan, then panic set in when I asked about George, knowing that while thousands of people were racing to get out he would be running in. People in my office say it takes a "special" kind of person to do that, and I have to agree because I don't know if I could have. From that day forward I have become the biggest advocate for Firefighters...and am proud to tell everyone I know that while people were running away from the chaos, my cousin...George DiPasquale...ran in. You are missed...and will never be forgotten!

Dear Mrs. DiPasquale and the DiPasquale family:
Last September 11th I was at home and watched as your husband and hundreds of others fought to save the lives of so many innocent people in the towers. Although I never have met you or your late husband, I have thought about his bravery and it has inspired me many times over the past year.
Today, on the memorial of the attacks, I attended mass at Old St. Pat's Church in Chicago. At mass they passed out one card to each worshiper and asked us to pray especially for this person and their family and friends.
I received your husband's memorial card.
My first thought was that we are the same age. And then I looked him up on the web and read about his strong faith. Although it is different than mine, I count on my faith a deeply as George must have. I am sure I would have liked and admired your husband. I am sure he was a good friend and father.
I hope it is a comfort in some very small way to know that I am praying for you and your family and George. I beleive strongly in the power of faith and I am sure George is with God.
With hope,
Sean Scanlon

Sister DiPasquale,
You've no doubt had many sentiments over the past year. I would like to add mine. What a wonderful man your George must have been- willing to risk his life for others and still uphold his responsibilities as an elder (my Dad has been an elder for 20 years, and that alone is a full-time job!). I cannot even imagine how difficult it must be raising Georgia on your own. But I'm going to tell you something my Mother told me when our daughter was 2 months old, laying in an NICU on a respirator and tubes coming out of her: "Jehovah has a hold of you- NEVER forget that. When you feel like you can't take any more or like you're going to fall apart, Jehovah will be right there to pick you up and put you in the palm of His hand." We love you, our dear sister, and please know that the worldwide Brotherhood never forgets you and your family in our prayers. Jehovah has a hold of you, sister. He'll take care of you until George comes back. You will be on my mind and in my prayers all day tomorrow as we come upon the anniversary of this tragic and pointless attack on human life.

I never knew George DiPasquale, but I have a memorial bracelet that has his name and engine company on it. I wear it on the 11th of every month, along with all holidays. I'll never forget his name and want his family to know that they're not the only ones who will remember him.

Father we entrust our brother George to your mercy. You loved him greatly in this life: now that he is freed from all its cares, give him happiness and peace forever. The article of AWAKE! magazine was very touching. However, we share with George a common bond: "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those is the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." Yes his faith in the only true God, Jehovah, will see to it! We'll see you in the new system of things, brother!

We are extremely sorry for our nation's great loss of George. We thank George for dedicating his life to protect, save and care for others as a firefighter. Such a devotion comes with a brave, warm and caring heart. May George's courage, deep religious beliefs, his life and love continue living in those who have been touched by his life. May you always feel the warmth of his love radiate into your hearts. May the sorrow you feel today be lightened by warm memories of times shared with George. Our hearts cry deeply with you in America's loss of a hero.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

GEORGE'S LOVE FOR HIS FAMILY AND HIS FAITH IS WELL ILLUSTRATED IN THE CHARACTER THAT HE HAD EXEMPLIFIED TO ALL. HIS HOPE IN THE PROMISED NEW WORLD WILL BE REALIZED AS HE AND HIS FAMILY ARE ONCE AGAIN REUNITED. THEY WILL NOT HAVE TO EXPERIENCE THE TRAGEDY THAT HAS BROUGHT SUCH SORROW INTO THIER LIVES. THEY HAVE THE CONDITION PROMISED IN REVELATION 21:3,4. TO LOOK FORWARD TO AS DOES THE REST OF MANKIND.

A picture of George with his wife, Melissa and two-year-old daughter, Georgia Rose, appears on page 12 in the January l, 2001 copy of the Awake! magazine.
Such sadness the Sept. 11th disaster has brought this family and many others. Melissa and Georgia Rose's pain will turn to joy when the earth is restored to a paradise and they receive their loved one back my means of a resurrection.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
