As the anniversary of that day starts to roll around again, the memories come back to me. I've posted on the pages of all my co-workers at KBW who I was particularly close to, and looking back at the posts it looks like Jackie was one of the first. I can still clearly remember her desk on the 89th floor, where I'd go to help her with some computer problem or something. I was a developer but our department was so small that we all also doubled as helpdesk. I always enjoyed when Jackie called, because I knew she'd be chatty and appreciative. I guess it makes sense she was that way; her desk was pretty much in the open in well-traveled location, so I imagine she saw a lot of the company every day.
Anyway, I still think of her and will carry those memories with me always.

Dear Donovan Family - I'm not sure why I thought of Jackie today, but I did, and I have done so often at random times, every time 9/11 comes up or when back in Malverne. Jackie was one of my favorite people at OLL and I can still see that wonderful smile and hear her contagious laugh from all those years ago. Although I hadn't seen Jackie in many, many years she is still missed all these years later.
Warmest regards,
Rich Moses

Jackie, Almost every night when I am watching tv you say hello at 9:11. I smile a big smile with pain behind it. I watched your family grow up for 11 years! You turned into one heck of a gal. And...then you came back into my life opening a breakfast place by my job and I was thrilled to see you again and spend time with you and your mom. You were the greatest neighbor and made me laugh a lot. I always enjoyed your visits. My son, Thomas, also mentions you. You really made a dent on our hearts. I will miss you always, Kathie & Tom Girolamo xxoo

Jackie was one of a kind. Always had a smile on her face and was sure to make you have a smile on yours. We certainly had a great time in Highschool!!! Will never forget when you came to visit me after I had my daughter in 1988. I just had a csection and begged you to stop making me laugh because it hurt my stomach so bad. It was impossible for you to do. Each story was funnier than the last. Thanks for the great memories xoxo

You and I know we had something special between us and I will never break the promise. We had our issues, but we both know why. I worked with Jackie's sister in Malverne Bakery in the 80's. Whenever Jackie would come in to visit or I would see her around town she was pure joy and would light up a room. So funny, so sweet and so kind. Made everyone feel comfortable. What a loss to this world, but what a gain to heaven. Jackie you were a star that shown brightly in this world and now forever in the sky... God Bless the Donovan family. Your daughter & sister was pure joy to everyone she met.

Jacky, you were a becon of light, a smile when one so needed to see. You were my friend's girlfriend, and would bend my ear all night when he and I were not playing pool. We talked about a multitude of things, but as I remember, they centered on your loved ones, never you. Your legacy is one of richness and purity as you touched so many with your brillance of character, and mirth of life. I miss you. We as a whole, are lessened by your loss to us but....you do continue, in our thoughts and prayers what you were and are is acknoledged here in your loved ones writings......you are very loved!!!!!

I had met Jackie through a friend I grew up with .. we were aquaintances. Then many years later I met her again through another friend.. and it took a while but we figured out how we knew each other. Every time we saw each other after that we would say hi.. chit chat, laugh tell a joke. No matter what she always seemed to have a smile on her face. I am so lucky to have known Jackie.. and I thank Jackie C and Kelli K for introducing us.. not once but twice in a lifetime. My thoughts and prayers to her family.. I knew if I saw her I would feel comfortable wherever it may be.. She would make me feel welcome. I toast you Jackie D.... and you will be forever missed.

Dear Family and Friends of Jaqueline Donovan:
Last Sunday, in preparation for the 11th, our church distributed name bands, like hospital i.d. tags, each with the name of someone who died on that traumatic day. I was fortunate to get Jaqueline's name, and have been wearing her with me since Sunday. I was watching on the 11th when her name was read on TV, and I saw her picture in the NY Times that morning.
My wife and I lost our youngest child, our son Jesse, two and a half years ago. He was a Peace Corps volunteer in Africa and was killed in an auto accident. Like Jaqueline, he was full of life and fun, and made a difference wherever he was, embracing people and the moment. We're still learning to live without him, which is like learning to breathe with one lung. It got better for us after the first anniversary, which we hope will now be true for all of you.
Becky and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as you remember Jaqueline and tell all those great stories about her and learn to love the way she is with you now. We send you our warm thoughts as you move into year two without her. Rick and Becky Thyne

Last evening, 9-11-02, myself, wife, family, & friends went to a local church to participate in a candle light vigil. At the church were 3048 small white crosses staked outside in the ground, representing all those lost on 9-11-01. All of us there at the church were asked to remove one or more crosses from the ground until none were left. We then held the crosses along with candles above our heads and observed a moment of silence in remembrance. One of the crosses I pulled from the ground had the name of, Jacqueline Donovan, on it. Although, I didn't know Jacqueline personally, I feel a special connection to her now. My thoughts & prayers go out to her family. If anyone who reads this knows Jacqueline's family & thinks they may like this cross, please contact me via email. GOD BLESS

To the Family and Friends of Jacky,
I never met Jacky, nor did I know her. Our company distributed remembrance pins with the name of a victim of the disaster on September 11. I received Jacky's name. We all wore the pins throughout the day in memory of the victims. I browsed this site and read all of the tributes that people have left for her. She sounds like a special person. My condolences and prayers are with you all.

Dear family and friends of Jackie;
I just wanted you to know that I will be wearing a heart with Jackie's name on it in the Raleigh North Carolina segment of the worldwide Rolling Requiem on September 11, 2002. All of the singers and musicians(There will be over 350 of them in Raleigh alone)will be wearing a paper heart with a name of a person who perished in the tradgedy of that day, over their heart. We will be giving hearts out to all of the specatators also. I wanted you to know that I browsed this memorial site for hours to look for the name of the one who I will remember tomorrow, and I was most attracted by the remembrances of Jacqueline. I especially like all of your descriptions of her fun-loving and generous nature. I will be praying for her and her family and friends today. God Bless You.

To Jackie's family,
I only met Jackie once, at our family barbeque. My stepbrother Greg and Jackie were dating and he brought her to meet everyone. She was so pretty and I could tell she was allot of fun. Her vivacious personality really came through, even in such a short meeting. I was horrified to learn that the world lost such a wonderful person on Sept.11. I was so saddened, and I think of her often. Please know that my prayers are with you all, I hope you're doing ok.
