I worked at First Union Corp in Ocala, Florida during this time. Handling new accounts with securities, I quite often spoke with Antoinette in regards to transferring assets from other financial institutions. She was always so cheerful and helpful in getting the job done. I still think of her and her sweet personality to this day.

Dear Antoinette,
I just want you to know that I think of you very often ... you continue to be in my heart and prayers. I had a text chat with your beautiful daughter a whild ago. You would be so proud of her. She is a fine, friendly and and courteous young lady ... so respectful. I enjoyed so much chatting with her. She seems to have taken your lead with the friendliness. I know you are watching over her and your family. Rest in eternal peace Antoinette . God bless.

We never met in person but we spoke almost every day on the phone clearing trades. You were always willing to take a last minute trade for those last minute wire transfers. I had a number of trades that Tuesday but made other arrangements once I saw the TV but my team down in Charlotte never stopped praying and hoping for you and your team. It was a tragic day but I always remember how cheerful you were to work with every day, even when my trades were late.

Thank you for this article ... On visiting ground zero ... We randomly chose a name to stand by and remember... When I found her story I cried again... I thought how profound that we choose this lovely lady .. She was the same age as My Mum was when Mum died and left behind a young daughter...also! I'm glad we stood by Antoinette's name. All our thoughts and best wishes to her family and peace be with you. Remembering Antoinette!

This past Tuesday, I attended a memorial service at the Eagle Rock Reservation for 911 victims. (I work for the County of Essex) I met the mother of Antoinette Duger. The mother was sitting behind me and I could tell that she was very sad and had lost someone very dear to her. After all the official ceremony I approached her to convey my condolences. Antoinette's mom reminded me of one of my family members. I am Italian by decent and somehow I felt drawn to this woman. I never did get her name, but I did ask her daughter's name. I just wanted Mrs. ?? to know that I will pray for her and her daughter and that I hope again to meet her one day. Again, there was something about this woman that made me feel that I had known her or met her previously. I hope that her memories of her daughter will keep her from being sad. I lost both of my parents in the year 2000 within weeks of each other and I have experienced the pain of grieving. I hope someone reads this note and lets Mrs. ? know that I am thinking of her everyday and I am sorry that she has lost her precious daughter. Thank you.
PS Antoinette looks very pretty and very much resembles her Mom...God Bless both of you!
Sincerely, Judy Franklin

Dear Antoinete:
I did not know you but my mother did. She worked with you when you first came as a young girl to First National State Bank many years ago. Mom is now 84 years old, long retired and still lives in Belleville. She saw your picture in the Belleville Times and still recognized you. She was very sad to learn that you did not survive this senseless attack. We both send our condolences and love to your family.

To "Toni's" Family:
I didn't know you,Toni, but I knew your husband and your sister-in-law, Rose. Rose was my maid of honor at my wedding 14 years ago. I remember how highly she spoke of you and was so happy her brother, Ray, had found you. I don't think prior to the time he met you that Rose EVER thought he would marry!!! But boy did she ever approve of his choice of you as a wife! She always said you put him on the 'straight and narrow.' I remember Rose telling me about you and your husband and your house-hunting exploits, and how you had recently purchased a home in the "suburbs" so you could commute to NYC. I didn't learn of your death until a few months ago -- I wondered why I hadn't heard from Rose this past holiday. When I heard what happened to you, I weeped for your little girl, Megan, who was born a few months before my son, Michael. I remember Rose telling me that her brother was FINALLY a father!
I'm sure they all miss you! We will keep your family in our prayers.

I just wanted to Thank you for being like another mother to me. For all that you have done for me and my brother. The endless birthday gifts and Christmas gifts.
The trips to Friendly's on Friday nights. All the times we went down the shore in the Chevette. All the times we spent together at Grandma's. Remember when I used to sleep over!! Nothing is the same anymore. Mommy really misses you!! You were like her best friend. We sit around alot and tell stories about you. Grandma misses you so much I try and cheer her up with funny stories. I know you are in a better place watching over all of us. You are an angel. I know we will see one another again.
I love you so much,

Mere words can't express my sorrow on September 11th, when I heard that Antoinette did not escape the collapse of the building where our securities office was located.
I knew her only on the phone for 5 years, but felt that we were friends. Whenever I had to contact her regarding business, we always ended up venting and wound up laughing like mad over something. She was such a great person- dedicated employee, mother, wife, and friend. I will miss her, and her giving spirit, and cherish the fact that I was privileged to know her.
My deepest sypathy and regards to Ray and Megan. Their loss is enormous.
Senseless.

We are very sorry for your loss of Antoinette. May her life and love live on in all of you. Our hearts cry with you.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
