Always whean I watch the memorial ceremony for 9/11 I must remember, that a son of our city has been lost in this awful und horrible way of the terror attacks in New York 2001. My thoughts are with his parents in his home city. Keiner fällt tiefer als in Gottes Hand.

I visited the reflecting pools at Ground Zero yesterday and stood on the corner near your name. Today, as we take our bus ride home, I Google your name, saw your picture, and learned more of your story. It touched my heart. We all continue to grieve this terrible tragedy. You are not forgotten. Lieber Sebastian,
es ist nun 10 Jahre her und ich kann es immer noch nicht fassen..., das, was dein kleiner Junge am Ground Zero gesagt hat, beschäftigt mich seit einer Woche. Mich und den Rest der Klasse. Vor mir liegen die Frankreich Fotos und ich kämpfe mit den Tränen. Ich fasse es nicht, dass dein großer Traum "Wall Street" auch gleichzeitig das Ende war... Dieses Foto vor dem WTC... du siehst aus wie angekommen und ... .
Ich möchte, dass du eines weißt, gerade in diesen Tagen, aber auch an anderer Stelle, wo etwas an dich erinnert, würde ich mir wünschen, dass ich genauso mit dir "chatten" könnte wie mit allen anderen. Ich weiß schon jetzt, dass ein Klassentreffen ohne dich für mich keines ist. Ich bete für dich und deine Familie. In Verbundenheit

Sebastian Gorki's amazing son Nicholas paid a lovely tribute to his father on yesterday's commemorative ceremony. It is such a same that such a wonderfull boy must do without his father. I am sure the whole world saw Nicholas and that he will be in the prayers of millions of people. Sebastion Gorki, who I never knew at all, surely would have been inmensely proud of his son Nicholas yesterday. Wherever Sebastian is now, if he looks down at his amazing son he will smile and be happy.
But let us never forget that a loving father and his son were never able to enjoy live together.
To Nicolas and his mother I can only say that I wish them lots of strength, peace and happyness in their lives.

Nach nun mehr als 10 Jahren, bin ich immer noch fassungslos über die Tragödie bzw. Einzelschicksale, die an diesem besagten 11.09.2001 einfach auf unsere Welt hereingestürmt ist. Es ist ein ganz besonderer Tag, an dem ich mich zurück ziehe und in Gedanken bei den Toten und den Hinterbliebenen bin. Denn man sollte dieses Datum nie vergessen und sich immer wieder vor Augen führen, zu was Menschen fähig sind bzw. das Menschen einfach das Leben genommen worden ist! In Memory for all victims of nine eleven!

I never knew your dad, but I just saw the beautiful tribute you paid him, on the 10th anniversary of his passing. As a father, I know nothing could ever stop him from watching over and guiding you and how immensely proud he must be, of his wonderful, courageous son.
