Another year has passed since you've gone and I seem to miss you more as time goes by. It's knowing that I was not able to have all these missed years of your friendship. I've seen the pictures of your name at the Memorial but I cannot bring myself to actually visit the site where not only you but so many others perished on that terrible day. I continue to think of you often and especially at this time of the year and like others who knew you can still hear the sound of your voice and that very unique laugh of your's. We will meet again one day. Until then know that you will continue to be in my prayers and thoughts.

I met Kathy back in the early 80s when we both worked for Cigna and I was transferred to NYC. Although we never actually worked together we did have mutual friends in the company. What started as a casual meeting turned into a close friendship that lasted until her death. I ultimately returned to working in Philadelphia and coincidently Kathy was given a temporary working assignment there and I was fortunate enough to spend a lot of time with this wonderful human being. I can't believe it has been 17 years since this horrific attack on the U.S. occurred but there is not a year that she is not uppermost in my mind. She is everything and more that people say about her. When she was in a room, you knew it as her lively and outgoing personality just filled up the space. If anybody is full of life that expression explained Kathy. She was truly a good friend and appreciated
and loved by all of us. I think of her often, all the good times we shared and I seem to miss her more as the years go by. Val Thomson

We first met at AIU in 1978. You were very young, but even then your laughter was joyous. Tomorrow I will remember you and a few others to my high school students at Don Bosco Prep. Your memory will help them understand the meaning of 9-11. We do not forget.

I met Kathy when I was transferred to NYC by Cigna in 1982 and shortly we became fast friends. Over the years I spoke to her more often at certain times than others. I did not know of her death on 9/11 until several months after and it was a huge shock since I knew she didn't work at the World Trade Center. She certainly is in my thoughts every year at this time and I think of her often missing her laugh and cheerful Irish nature. Kathy was one of a kind and the world is a sadder place without her in it. I will miss her always.

The last time I saw you was at your sister Mary Ann's wedding. I lost touch with her and your family and never realized that you were a victim of September 11th. For some reason I was going through the site and noticed your name. I am so sorry and my heart goes out to your family. Alot of my friends were with you and I know you all are together in heaven and hopefully looking down knowing that we all consider you heros. Please if anyone in your family reads this I would love to hear Mary Ann and all are doing. (formerly Therese Smith)

We found your memorial on the headstone - perhaps your father's - resting next to my sister who died in June 2002. We were curious but knew you were one of the victims of that terrible attack. We say a prayer for you when we visit and now that will have just a bit more meaning. You were obviously loved and are missed dearly. May God bless you and your family.

Nearing the anniversary of the day of your untimely death, I decided to write a little note just to say how you're being missed. There are no words to express the grief our family had after losing both you and Pop, except that it has brought us closer together. Just to close things up, I'd like to put in a few quotes.

To Kathleen's family I wish to offer my deep sympathy on your loss. I am an Irish journalist and a Moran and visited New York in October 2001 to do what Rudy Giuliani asked of us non-Americans, to show solidarity by visiting New York. I will never forget that visit and on return to Ireland wrote a story about it. I will forward that to those who would like to read it. Again, to the relatives and friends of Kathleen, deepest sympathies.

I heve never met you or your family, but I am deeply touched on the six month anniversary of this horrific attack. I feel a bond to you that words cannot express because my maiden name is Moran. America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
