Daniela Notaro Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 21, 2001.
'She Was Full of Life'
Daniela Notaro was a receptionist and secretary with Carr Futures and worked on the 92nd floor of the World Trade Center in a job she held for about five years. She lived with her parents in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, and had an older sister, Rosaria, and a boyfriend of several years.

"She was full of life," said her father, Carlo Notaro. "It was a very simple, normal, peaceful and joyful life." Ms. Notaro, 25, took a vacation in August to the Bahamas, and her favorite holiday was Christmas. "She would wrap gifts for friends, for everybody in the family," he said.

And she was a perfectionist, particularly at the office, where her good manners and character made her a valuable worker. "She used to like to go to work," her father said. "Every morning she would get up very early, and never be late. If she would be late, maybe she would've saved herself.

"But she was never late. They took my life away."

My Aunt passed away on 9/11, and she is resting in peace very close you to, and Arturo….so I see you often and though we never met, I feel a special connection to you. You were so beautiful and sound like an amazing woman. I think how we were so close in age back then. I hope you are together in heaven.

I didn't know Daniela personally, but I spoke to her very often. The company I once worked for would supply Carr Futures with their office supplies. I remember Daniela calling me and looking for their supplies when things were needed. She was such a sweet and kind woman. She will always be remembered. May God continue to bless her family. Daniela you will never be forgotten. God bless you!

Donnie, you were a gentle soul with a heart of gold. Fly with the angels and never grow old. Time heals all wounds they say, but we all died a little bit that fateful day. So when I look up at the sky I'll think of you, your star so bright, will always shine through. I'll remember you. I'll always remember you.

It is a shame that this had to happen to you. We never had a conversation, but our faces were familiar to each other, so the day never ended without a quick smile to each other. We went to high school together and i remember your bangs and red lipstick the most. Well, just wanted to say you are in my thoughts as well as the others who lost their lives that day. May you rest in peace.

25 years is too short a time to keep someone you love.

To all who loved Daniela-

Though you may not know us, there are countless numbers of people praying for you in your loss.

I may have never gotten to meet Daniela, but from what I have heard of her, I would have liked the chance to do so.

I have not seen Daniela's picture, but in my mind I see her smiling. I see a woman willing to work hard, who says no when she has to, but who is also ready to offer a kind word to the person who needs to hear it.

I know those who loved this woman see the special person they knew, but as for me, a stranger, this is how I will remember Daniela.

May God grant you peace and comfort and may light perpetual shine upon Daniela.

Already a year has gone by, and you still touch me the way you used to. Your smile, Your laughter, Your Aura always brought brightness to my life and everyone who surrounded you. You are a very unique and special person which made you worth more than words can say. I am sad that you are not here with us anymore but I am happy that you were part of my life at one time. A piece of my heart will always belong to you and no one can take that away.

Love,

I can't believe it's been a year already....Dani and I spent 1988/89 going to school together every morning....I remember the "ciuffo" and the red lipstick...the conversations...We lost touch at some point, seeing one another at family parties, but then in 2000 we began hang out again and that's when I remembered how much fun she was to be around and I wondered why we had lost touch. Now unfortunately, I do not have the opportunity to hang out w/her...She will always be in my memories, whether it be singing Toto` Cotugno songs on the phone or more recently dinner at Chianti's w/the girls. Daniela, you are greatly missed.

I did not know Daniella and I never met her or her family. Her father is first cousins with my first cousin Santina Notaro. Just opposite sides of the family. Like I said, I never met them, but I feel their pain as if they were my own family too. I am sure she was beautiful inside and out. To her family I wish to say that nothing can bring you peace except knowing in your hearts that she is with God and that one day you will all be together again. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Six months later, I still can not believe Daniela is gone. Words can not express how much I miss her. A day has not passed in which, I have not thought about her. Daniela was more than a cousin to me. She was like the sister I never had. From ballet school, working together, going to the gym, to our very last memory-"Our infamous trip to the Bahamas", she was an enormous part of my life and now... she is gone. With a big heart and love for life, she valued simple things, like marriage and family. Her dream was to become a beautiful bride, wife and mother. All of this was taken from her because she went to work on Tuesday Sept. 11, 2001. Danielle I love you so much and you will always hold a very big piece of my heart. I miss you! elaine

Daniela was a smart, wonderful, kind and beautiful person. Although we had lost touch a few years ago I was devastated when I found out she was in the towers. Daniela as well as the whole Notaro family will always be in my heart and my memories.

Daniela was a sweet and beautiful girl. She always had a smile on her face. She was the type of person who wanted her family and friends to be close to her, and would often suggest small get togethers. Daniela would also be comical on family videos, which looking at them now reminds me of what a good person she was. I will miss her.

In our minds, in our hearts, and in our memory, Daniela will always be with us.

As her cousin, I watched her grow up and become a beautiful person in every way and that is something I will cherish forever. Loving her was very easy but moving on without her will not. I pray that she is in a better place and getting a kick out of all these thoughtful messages. She was always an easy laugh.

I miss you Donnie.

Love Always,

all we can do now is keep living and smiling because anyone that knows daniella would know that that is what she would want us to do.

I worked with Daniela at TSL about 5 years ago. Although I didn't have the chance to work with her for very long, she was a very sweet and caring individual. I was shocked when I learned that she had been in the WTC. My heart goes out to her family and friends. She was a wonderful person and will be missed by many.

We are very sorry for your loss of Daniela. Our hearts cry with you.

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

My condolences go out to the Notaro family. I recently (two weeks ago) moved from NYC to MA to get away. I worked at Carr Futures for about 4 years. I was already on board when Daniela was hired for the receptionist position. She brought such class the minute you entered our office. She was always very sweet, pleasant. She always looked great. The office planned a babyshower for me and she brought me a nice gift and she also got me a nice angel frame for my son at Christmastime. She is definitely an angel. We always had great times at the office. The memories will live on in my heart.
