I meet Alfred through my 1st wife Dawn. They were class mates at FDR HS in Brooklyn, NY.. We soon became very close friends.. Alfred was a very funny person.. Always laughing and jokeing around.. He was also an usher in our wedding party.. He was a great guy and a dear friend.. The news of death was difficult to accept.. He was a wonderful person.. Rest in peace buddy..

I want your family to know that I rode today in the 2 Million Bikers to DC rally to remember the victims of 9/11.
Each rider that registered, was given a name of one of the victims. I was lucky to be given Alfred Vukosa. I wore his name proudly on the front of my helmet throughout the day, and it is still there.
God bless you,

I live down the street from Alfred and his family. It breaks my heart when I see his family. There are no words that I can say to express my deepest sympathy to them. He'll always have a special place in my heart. It's a pleasure to call him FRIEND!!

Dear Alfred, It seems like such a long time, but I always think of you and your family. I will never forget our long conversations about education and how proud I was of you for having fullfilled your goal. I have since then graduated also. I hope that your children will always hear about how wonderful and dedicated you were. I hope that they too aspire to do better for their family like you did. My prayers are always with you and your family.

Uncle Alfred was a very special person to many people especially me! Whenever we had a party he was always there, ready to play with us and he was always ready to hear our problems and give advice! The day the attacks happened and i heard uncle alfred was there, i was very sad, but i truly thought that he would get out because he was a very strong man; but i also believed that if he had the oppertunity, he would rather try to help someone else's life than his own! He was a great person who i really LOVE and MISS!!
You will always be remembered by (ME) Stacy, Briana, Ileen, and Dennis!

We met for lunch in front of the Statue/Fountain on the Plaza, you always commented on how "UGLY" it was. You had your regular...tuna fish sandwich with a can of coke. I wasn't hungry that day you asked me if everything was O.K., I said "yeah, I just feel sad, but I don't know why". You insisted we go for a walk, it would cheer me up. We walk to the South Street Seaport, we checked out all the new gadgets at the Sharper Image you loved it, you couldn't get enough. We walked back to the Trade Center you asked if I felt any better, I said "yeah, thanks". You asked if I was coming up for breakfast the next morning, I'll meet you at 8:30am. We said our goodbyes and went back to our offices, you went into 1-WTC and I walked across the Plaza into 5-WTC. That was last time we would ever see each other....Sept. 10th, 2001.
I was running late that next morning......
I check in on your family from time to time, their pain by far out weighs mine...I hope that they feel some sort of comfort with my visits.
God, how I miss you Al. You were my best friend, you were like a brother to me. You are in my thoughts everyday and in my prayers every night.
Happy Birthday my friend.

There are no words to ease the pain.I know how it feels to lose the one you love, first hand. But as time goes on, you learn to live on, one day at a time. I will never forget the good times with Alfred, and all of us from High School. We have so many good memories. Im glad we have them. I Pray for his wife and his boys, that they may find the strength to go on. It is possible, I did it. You have to Have faith. God Bless You and your family.

THE BUSHIDO WARRIOR,A MAN OF HONOR, DIGNITY, AND STRENGTH.THATS WHAT WE USED TO CALL EACHOTHER IN HIGH SCHOOL, WHEN WE TOOK KARATE CLASSES TOGETHER IN 1979. HE WAS ONE OF THE BOYS, NOT JUST ANY ORDINARY BOY BUT ONE THAT I CONSIDERED IN MY HEART TO BE LIKE A BROTHER TO ME. THERE WAS THIS SPECIAL CLICK WITH ALOT OF US THAT NEW HIM. I REMEMBER AS IF IT WERE YESTERDAY WHEN I D.J.ED AT HIS WEDDING WITH ANNETTE. MY SINCEREST CONDOLENSES TO HIS FAMILY. HE WAS A TRULY AMASING FRIEND. I GOT TO SEE HIM FOR THE LAST TIME IN NOV.- DEC. OF 2000. THEN I WENT BACK HOME TO SPAIN, BUT BEFOERE I LEFT I TOLD HIM THAT I WOULD BE BACK NEXT YEAR. NEXT YEAR NEVER CAME. I WANT TO SAY THESE FEW WORDS TO SOMEONE WHO I WILL NEVER FORGET. MAYBE YOU COULD SEE US NOW, WHEREVER YOU ARE. HOW I WISH WE COULD FIND A WAY TO MAKE THIS WORLD A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE. THAT WOULD BE A SIGN THAT YOUR LOSS ALTHOUGH TERRIBLE, WOULD NOT COMPLETLY BE IN VAIN. FROM ONE BUSHIDO WARRIOR TO ANOTHER GOD BLESS US ALL.
LOVE PEPE

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
