Though I don't know you, I pointed out your name to my daughter, who was yet to be born after 2001. Her curiosity about the 9/11 National Monument and about 9/11 itself is the reason I chose your name as one of those we will never, ever forget. Your name is etched in our minds, as well as those whose lives were also taken on that day. May you find happiness and peace forever

When I first found out about the tragedy regarding Nancy - I was totally stung. I quickly scrambled home to call a mutual friend and to find that this was all true. Words can't describe how I felt at that moment. My thoughts & prayer goes out to her family.
Several days after hearing about the loss of Nancy - I had a dream about her.
All the girls from St Joseph pitched in together to make a shrine at the park across from the school for her. (Hoping she will return home safe and sound.)
Nancy..... may you watch over us and keep us strong.

It was my distinct honor to wear Nancy's name during our performance of the Rolling Requiem on 9/11/02 - a truly moving experience. Even though this cannot in any way begin to make up for such a tragic loss, it is hoped that some measure of comfort can be taken from the knowledge that she is remembered.

I lived several houses down from where Nancy's family resides. Although I only saw her drive by my house in my few trips home from West Point and didn't really know her, I couldn't help but think of her and her family after hearing she was in the Trade Center on September 11. Being stationed in Germany, I might never get to meet her family. I just want them to know that they are in my thoughts and prayers, and that every man and woman in uniform will do whatever they can to help fight this war on terrorism.

Nancy was the best friend of my sister-in-law. I had the privilege of meeting her at my sister-in-law's baby shower back in June of 2000. She was very friendly and nice to me, someone she just met for the first time. I am deeply upset by her death and thought of her and her family almost daily. I know Nancy is in a good place and is watching over the well-being of her family. To her family, I hope they can be strong for each other and take good care of each other.

NANCY, WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT NANCY EXCEPT THAT SHE WAS A BEAUTIFUL PERSON INSIDE AND OUT. LOVING MOTHER TO HER DAUGTHERS AND HUSBAND. A LIFE LOST TOO SOON AND SENSELESS. WE LOVE YOU! YOU'LL BE WITH US FOREVER.

I have chosen to wear Nancy's name through the Mercy BAND project. I chose her because there wasn't much written about her and because she had worked at Marsh and McLennan, where a dear friend, now 84, worked in her youth. Nancy and her family will be in my thoughts and prayers every day.
Peace be with you,
Marilyn

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
