I knew Colin when we sang together with George Robertson as, The Castle. I have photographs and memories from when we were young teenagers who got together to make music. Colin was a wonderful guitarist.

Although I only had the pleasure of meeting you a few times, you were always considered our Uncle Colin too. Your brother (my Uncle Bill) told many stories about you and whenever you were in town, we loved coming to visit because it meant lots of laughs and good times! Please give Uncle Bill a hug from me. I miss you both.
God Bless America and all the heros that we lost that day. We will never forget.

In memory of all those lost on 9/11 a decade ago, we held a Memorial Service in honor of them at our Healing Field in Carpentersville IL.
We honored all with nearly 3000 American Flags, all tagged with a name of those lost that heartbreaking day.
I wanted you to know that our Flag that we chose has the name Colin McArthur.
Though we have never met Colin or any of your family, we wanted you to know it will be an honor to fly our flag in remembrance of him.
Though we can not make a difference in what has happened, please know we shall never forget.
God Bless Your Family,
Rose McEneaney

It is almost a decade since the tragedy of 9/11 and almost two decades since I worked with Colin in Montreal and I still remember what a wonderful man he was. Smart, hardworking, friendly, caring and the life of all the parties. His passing was such a terrible loss and Colin is still dearly remembered.

Hello Brenda;
In reading a news article today I came across the name - Aon. A name that I will always be so proud to be associated with for the memories that it brings back to me from my tenure in Toronto.
Some of the best and most memorable times of my career, especially of those working with Colin.
We met at Colin's memorial, although probably passed by each other numerous times at R.S.in Toronto.
I just wanted to say that we are thinking of you and of Colin at this time of year and our prayers are with you.
God Bless.

It's been almost 3 years, and yet I just found out this week that Colin was one of the victims of this tragedy. I remember him being the absolute KING of company parties, and how we laughed and had the best times. I remember how he called me "cheeky" for teasing him about his accent after typing his dictaphone memos, and just what a pleasure he was to work for. My sincerest sympathies to his loved ones. We have all changed forever since 9-11.

Dear Brenda:
Although I haven't seen you for many a year, I remember the good times we had working together, you, Colin and I. Lynne, Lorraine and I often spoke of you and of the wonderful life you and Colin had together. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you try to put your life back into some semblance of normalacy. While it will be no easy task as you two were so close, we know that Colin would want you to forge ahead. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and may God Bless you.

In memory of the all the people lost a year ago today we held a service in honor of them.
In honor of our lost Aon colleagues we are each wearing a remembrance pin and attached is a tag with a name of one of our lost friends.
As there were more lost than we have people some of us have two names over our heart.
I have Colin McArthur and Michell Robotham. I did not know them before yesterday.
After reading the notes posted here, I now know, Colin was funny and a great friend and Michell was incredibly nice and a single mom.
We all have the posted information about our people hanging on our walls and have spent heartbreaking time getting to know what we can about these people. Though we can’t make a difference in what has happened, we shall never forget.
God Bless all here and with you.

One of the funniest men I ever met, what a wonderful fellow. Not much of a golfer, even he'd tell you that, but a great guy to play 18 with.
R.I.P. Colin. Everyone misses you.

What can I say?
I miss you. I miss the guitar stuff. I was waiting for you to teach me everything you wanted to teach me..but I had no idea about this lesson. I'm so glad you got to drive the cars in Brussels before the 11th...but still..I miss you. Thank you for being my mentor - my shoulder. You're the only person I would cry in front of. (And you always made me do it!!!) I miss you.
Now, I know you're still with us..I hear you cracking the jokes all day. I watch old python and sense that your laughing along.. I thank you for taking me under your wing immediately - for giving me a job that would so quickly change my life..by giving the comfort of home so far away from my original home..for giving me such beautiful friends..and the protection that only now, I see was so necessary - although I didn't know it back when you assured me of it. I miss you.
I have your initials along with those of Peter, Meredith, Mike, Deb and Kirsten on my left arm, entangled in a beautiful vine - yes..another tattoo of course...I carry you and all of them with me in my heart - and my heart on my sleeve.
Please save some jokes for me when I get there! (I wont make faces about haggis and deep fried mars bars anymore.)
Love,
laen

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
