Dearest Tara,
I sit here on today, the 15th Anniversary that God took you home to be with him, thinking of your gentle spirit. The days of our childhood at '151', are long gone. However, you remain in our thoughts and in our hearts. We also pray for your Mom Doris's continued strength in the Lord. Rest in perfect peace!!!

Aye mates, for many years
this shipmate stood the watch...
While some of us lay about at night,
this shipmate stood the watch...
While others of us were attending schools and,
yes, even on leave or liberty,
this shipmate stood the watch...
As our families watched the storm clouds of war
brewing on the horizons of history,
she stood the watch...
Often she would look ashore and see her family
needed her guidance, but she knew she must stay because,
she had the watch...
For many years she stood the watch so that we
and our fellow countrymen could sleep soundly
in safety knowing that this sailor would
stand the watch.
Today we are here to say...
"The watch stands relieved..."
Relieved by those you have led, guided, and trained...
Shipmate
"You stand relieved...
We have the watch."
This is for you Tara, as your recruiter and friend I Miss You Always.

This lovely young woman lost her life 10 years ago today. May she rest in peace. Let her death be not in vain. Let us hope that we have learned from the tragic occassion that was the end of her life and the lives of so many others on September 11, 2001. May her family be comforted with the fact that she is now with God.

Tara, some of your friends did not know you departed life on September 11,2001. I found out today and felt like a lost a family member. We were classmates in Navy RM "A" School and you were such an outgoing woman. This news also came on the day Osama Bin Landen has been killed. God truly works in mysterious ways. May your family take some comfort knowing that just has been served. RIP Tara!!!

Dear McCloud-Gray family;
Local high school students in Houston have made bright orange wrist bands for us to wear in honor of the victims of 9/11. My wrist band displays "Tara McCloud-Gray 30". I wear it proudly and will tell about Tara and pray for her with all who ask about my bright orange wrist band. Know that strangers across the world share in your pain. God bless and comfort you.

Miss Tara McCloud Gray spent several years of her short life serving her country in the U.S. Navy. The time that has passed since the horrible tragedy on September 11, has not dimmed her beauty or her spirit. Her spirit is eternal. I know she is with God in heaven. This lovely young woman had so much life left ahead of her. God is trying to tell us something. What it is I don't know. The horrible events that took this lovely young woman's life and so many like her must never be allowed to happen again. I did not know her personally but since September 11, I have read so much about her life I now feel as if I lost a close friend on that day. May Tara McCloud-Gray rest in eternal peace.

It hurt me very much when i came across your picture in the newspaper, even though we didnt keep in touch - you were there when i needed you. May god bless your soul and may you rest in peace!

Tara, I think about you everyday, and why your life ended the way it did. Everyone so sad and hurt by your leaving us. We love you and think about you everyday. If I had to go back a few years, I wished we could have kept in touch more. Although sad when I think about you, I also smile when I think about you. Your sense of humor, your laugh, and pretty face will always be with us. You are missed!!! Your cousin!

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
