Hello to those who knew Raymond meisenheimer. This year I carried him for the Lancaster stair climb. It was an honor and a privilege. I hung his picture with the rest of the crew from rescue 3 on my wall. Every stair climb I do I carry all the men I have carried in the years past. These angels will not be forgotten.

Hello family and friends of Raymond Meisenheimer. My name is Bailey Joonas, I am a voluenteer firefighter at Bluetownship FD in Kansas. I have decided that in memory of the great men and women of the fire service who lost their lives at ground zero that I wanted to participate in the Wichita memorial stair climb. In preparation for the climb I not only have been training physically but also reading up on the amazing man I am climbing for. I know that the short time I climb can never change what happened that day. But I wanted to honor such an amazing individual both in the fire service an out. Pest in peace brother. We'll take it from here.

God bless the Meisenheimer family for their loss, & for Ray's sacrifice. I used to work for Ray's brother Jim from 1978-81. I wanted to write to say that you are in our prayers, & that we won't forget. Although I never met Ray, I am still friends with his brother Jim. I would have liked to have met Ray, if only to have told him 'Jim' stories. God Bless.

Today outside of Denver, CO at Red Rocks about 1500 people gathered to walk 9 times around the steep amphitheater, led by so many firefighters in full gear, in memory of the 343. They handed out individual names for each of us to wear in their honor. I was given Ray's name and have spent time this evening learning about him. God bless you and your family on the anniversary of his loss.

After the tragic event that took Mr Meisenheimer's life I was able to participate in a fundraiser where I purchased a firefighters memorial bracelet. My bracelet has this dedicated firefighters name etched on it, with the 9-11-01 date alongside a U.S. flag. It's metal, silver colored, and in quite good condition. Honestly I don't wear it anymore and thought the family or a friend might want it.
I feel privileged to have made Mr. Meisenheimer's aquaintance (if only vicariously) and send my heartfelt gratitude and sympathy.

Joanne and the girls please know that you are in my thoughts today. Your loss has been great. I write this with heart felt sorrow. I share this prayer
Stars of Life
Driven by your power Lord
so many tasks to perform
Blessed by your hand dear God
No duty is too much to endure
Day or night here to respond
Empowered by your divine Grace
Save life a sacred deed
Your arms around embrace
Should death occur in the line of Duty
So be it as my fate
No task in life could be more fulling
should I be put down to to rest
Know that I died doing
The duty I loved Best
Paramedics..Emt's
We are the stars of life
Be it your will to let us do
Our duty all in strife

When in New York last summer, I saw Ray's name as a firefighter who lost his life on 9/11. When I returned home I was able to send for a bracelet with his name on it. That bracelet sits on my fireplace as a memorial to him. Although I never met Ray I think of him often as we share the same last name, "MEISENHEIMER." And my great grandfather, Adam Meisenheimer was a Milwaukee fireman in the early part of the 1900's.
If his wife and kids ever read this, I want them to know that he is in my prayers on a regular basis.

You are remembered today.
Remembered for the Bravery you and our Brother and Sister Firefighters
have shown. Being an EMT I can relate to the adrenalin rush of responding to a call. Somtimes things come up so fast that we do not know what has swept us. For you Ray it was your fate. I know that you are with 343 of our own.
Not comforting enough for the loss
has been too great for the FDNY.
So as we await your family's persmission to place your photo on
the 911 Memorial Quilt you are never forgotten for your Bravery and time given to help save lives.
God Bless Us All

Words cannot say what we feel in our hearts and mind. We both were so worried as we stood and watched 9/11 and immediately thought of Ray, Kevin Smith, and all of our FDNY and NYPD family and friends!
There isn't enough room here to say so many things about Ray, for he was the best! A great freind, a caring firefighter, a wonderful husband and father to his wife and daughters. He was proud of his career and of his family. What great stories we have of Ray, his Dad Rudy, and so many good times when he lived in Florida with my sister and her husband! So many good stories Jim and Ray together with all the other fine men of the East Farmingdale Fire Department!
Not only have we been grieving and feeling for his family during this difficult time, we realize just how many more lives Ray would have saved with his work in the FDNY and providing countless training hours to new firemen as well!
Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers go to his wife, and daughters, family and friends! You are missed and thought of each day Ray in both of our hearts! You are now in good company with all the FDNY and EFFD angels we've lost on 9/11 and in the past!
As major New York Jets football fans as we are, it is Ray's passing that has us now saying,
"A true hero saves lives each day, or gives up his own to save another." Ray, you are and always will be a fine example of a true hero! God speed "Buffalo" ... God speed!

Valentines Day Memoriel
Valentines Day is a Day for Love. This year Valentines Day carries
a whole new meaning. A day to open our Hearts and reflect on the
true meaning of friendship and care for mankind. Too many were taken and there are mass numbers of Empty Hearts that long for their loved ones. I pray today that in someway we can reflect on the Bravery and unselfish actions that our Firefighters have given
to their Ladder families . Let the Hearts of their spouses be filled
with their Love that will live on forever.
St Valentine 's power your arrow with the love of our fallen Firefighters and aim it down into the Hearts of all who feel the pain of their loss. Let today bring feelings of peace so that we can all endure the pain of their abcence.

Firefighters! Where are you?
Can you hear the cries?
Searching for you Frantically
Prayers that you survived
Pieces of the broken hearts
Forever to be mended
Shattered wives and families
Left here unattended
It rips my heart to hear them plead
So many questions to answer
Saddened that still there will remain
So many answers with questions
Eyes filled with tears
Ever growing fears of
Bodies that may never be recovered
Remains may be gone
You will ALWAYS LIVE ON
YOUR Legacy Forever Uncovered

Dear Raymond,
You dedicated your life to protecting your fellow man. Your courage and bravery certainly helped to save the lives of many people who you never met.
Yet you were there, ready to serve and you risked it all for the most noble cause.
May God keep you near and may He comfort your family. We will forever be in your debt.
May you rest in peace.

We thank Raymond for dedicating his life to rescue, comfort, and help others as a firefighter. Such a dedication comes with a brave, warm and caring heart. May his kindness, his life and love live on in all his has helped through the years. May his family always feel the warmth of his love penetrate into their hearts. We are deeply sorry for your loss of Raymond. Our hearts cry with you.
America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
