It's been 13 years since 9/11. I am preparing a record of those who perished that day. I know it's all on the computer, but I want a personal history for my children. My daughter was only 5 that day, and I want her to remember not just a number of those who perished, but they were loved by their families, they had friends, like ripples in the water. Each person affects so many others. We all share love and compassion and of course, we know that love is the most important thing. You and your family are remembered.

Hello, Russa. Spent the last few days taking care of Annette (surgery) and Ant (flu) and chatted about family lots, especially Bill, Billy, Bob. So thought I'd check in here and say a prayer... not just for Bill but for all of us. Love you...

Dear Russa, Meredith, Jordan & Darren-
While I never knew your husband/father personally, I did have the pleasure of working with and knowing Meredith, Jordan & Darren at the diner for many years. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers as you come upon the 6th anniversary of this atrocity. My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead.

On Sept. 11 our local radio station honored those who perished on 911, by having one person ,per name, read the name, age and where they died,on the air, then we rang the bell of freedom. We were given a badge to wear in memory of the person who died. I had the honor to read the name of your loved one. William R. Steiner age 56. It would be an honor to send you the badge if you like. You can email me with your information.([email protected]) May God bless you and your family.
In the spirit of love and compassion, Yvonne Fernandes

To the Steiner family -
I want you all to know that night a day goes by when I don't say a prayer for you and your family. I was deeply saddened to hear about your loss. As a friend of Jordan, I wanted to share my deep sympathy with you and your family. My friends and I went to ground zero to pay our respects in the honor of your father/husband and the others who perished. We signed a banner for Mr. Steiner and all said our goodbyes to him. May you all face much brighter days and know that there are a lot of people who truly care.
God Bless,
Michele Freiling

Dear Mrs. Steiner, I knew your husband for many years. I have worked at Guy Carpenter for almost 22 years. He was always very kind and polite. I still cannot believe he has left us. You and your family are in my thoughts and
prayers now and always, Love, Barbara

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
