Never Forget Yoichi's Name and Story
In 2017 on the NAT GEO Channel on the 16th anniversary of the attacks, I was 9 years old. I remember seeing a documentary for the first time about what happened 6 years before my birth (I was born in 2008) the documentary was called "9/11 and The American Dream" Mr. Kasuzada Appeared Mrs. Mari And also Mrs. Harumi Wife of Yoichi I was 9 years old at that time and since I saw that documentary and seeing the story of Yoichi Sumiyama It moved me too much. It gave a lot of curiosity and impact. Time passed and on the Internet I never investigated anything about Yoichi. Since I didn't remember his name well until the 23rd anniversary of the attacks, I decided to translate Spanish into Japanese and find more information about Yoichi. From the age of 9 to 16 I never forgot your story, Mr. Sumiyama. I wish you rest in peace and blessings for your fighting and warrior family. I hope one day to visit your commemorative plaque in New York. Greetings from Maracaibo, Zulia State, Venezuela.
I am Jeshua Uzcátegui and since I was 9 years old his story moved me and I have never forgotten it. Today I am happy to know that his wife managed to raise 3 children who are now men and that their father, Mr. Kazusada, is very active and firm. Greetings from Venezuela To Japan God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

I just wish I could sign every book. So sorry, so sad! Life goes on but it can be so hard sometimes.
There are not enough words to express our grief.
I wish Mr. Sugiyama's family all the best in the future.

As I watch the Sugiyama's story in relation to 9/11 on Japanese television on this third anniversary, my heart goes out to the family. May Yoichi's memory live forever and the love and strength of his family persevere.

Our hearts go out to Mrs. Sugiyama and her three small boys who have returned to Japan since Yoichi passed away. We have great admiration for her positive strength and courage as she makes her way into the future for herself and her children.
We know Yoichi is watching over his family. He must be delighted to see his newborn son with a middle name from a country he loved - Italy.
All the friends and teachers at Language Training Institute send their warmest thoughts to the Sugiyama family.

A year from the last entry I'm posting my entry. I recieved my bracelet yesterday, with Yoichi's name on. Everytime I look down I remember all of the human beings lost that day. I didn't know him and I have no connection to NJ but I feel as though I do now. I just wish there were more information about him. It's sad to think that this is the only information available about him, his life is worth more than his name and occupation.

To the friends and family of Yoichi Sugiyama:
I also have worn a wristband with Mr. Sugiyama's name on it this whole past year. I asked the folks who made these bands at MercyB.A.N.D.S. to give me anyone--I decided to let God decide whose name and family I would pray over.
I received the name of Yoichi Sugiyama. At first I wondered who he was--the name sounded Japanese and I wasn't sure if it was a man or a woman. I found his website memorial and discovered he had been the manager of the Fuji Bank, a U.S. citizen and lived in New Jersey.
This helped me understand a little of how to pray for Mr. Sugiyama's family. I was born in New Jersey--and my Dad worked at 1 Wall Street for 30 years when I was little--he was a bank manager! So I prayed for your family everyday for the past year--Mr. Suguyama had to have been somebody's son, maybe somebody's brother, uncle, husband, father. . .I prayed for you all to be comforted. . .to find some peace and grace in this whole last year.
My maiden name is Veazie--I am a direct descendent of the man Vesey St. in NYC was named for--the street the World Trade Center was on. Although I wasn't present that day to physically see the destruction I saw the Vesey Street name in rubble. . .and now I have spent a year bearing the name of Yoichi Sugiyama. I took the band off yesterday for the first time, but will wear it every 9/11 to remember your loss, our loss, the whole nation's loss. May God bless your family.

I wear a wristband with the name Yoichi Suguyama in tribute during this time of remembrance. Although chosen at random, I see that Yoichi is a resident of New Jersey of which I am a native. It's all so close…too close.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
