As I cross-stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.

In memory....

I received Keiji's name from a basket during a remembrance day at the university where I work on September 11, 2006. Although I didn't get the opportunity to know Mr. Takahashi, I feel that I needed to tell his family and his friends of my deepest sympathy of the loss of his life and of all the other souls who lost lives that horrific day. I know he will be sorely missed by all.

Keiji,
You are truly an unsung hero of 9/11. Virtually all of Mizuho Capital's NY staff owe their lives to you and the three other managers whose presence of mind, heroic instincts, and selfless actions enabled the 80th Floor of 2 WTC to be evacuated in time to undoubtedly save lives. May your soul rest in eternal peace!

Takahashi san, konnichiwa. Bruce and I miss you very much and always remember how kind you were. Bruce always told me that you were one of the nicest person to work with and everybody loved you. We appreciate your right decision to evacuate all from the WTC.

I had the pleasure of working with Keiji for 8 years and I never once saw anything but a smile on his face. As we stood by the window of our office on the 80th Floor of 2 World Trade Center watching the first tower burn, he ran in with 3 other colleagues and urged us to immediately leave. This saved our lives. Thank you for your clear thinking and sense of action. My family and I will be eternally greatful. God Bless You.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
