Every September 11, 2001, I am reminded by the loss of your life, and the loss of your kindness by all those people who loved you, or admired you for your integrity and friendship. May God protect and cherish your family. Your remind forever in my memory,

This is Gillian,
I just found out about this book... Wow! I can't believe I have been given the chance to write something in this special place. Finding out about this made me really realize how much I miss Mickey, even though I only knew him for a couple months. Everyday, at home, we see a dove sitting in the same place on our deck. We think that that might be a sign from him. We also noticed (a year ago or so) that a cardinal was knocking on our glass window almost everyday. Again, we though it might be a sign. I thought this was just so interesting.
I miss Mike so much and so does Daniela and even Michael.
Love,
Gillian Gogliormella

Hi Dad... so I came across this website and thought I would leave you a message if you are looking down on me. I might not remember all of our memories but I sure remember that you were so kind and brave. I hope you know that I will miss you forever and I will never forget your kind soul.
Live your daughter... Gillian <3

I wanted to extend my deepest sympathy the Michael’s family. I have not forgotten that terrible day, nor have thousands of Americans. I am unsure how this message will be taken, but I hope that Michael’s family will understand the impact that has been made.

My name is Laura. I am 20 years old and I am a junior at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tn. On September 11th of this year the entire university gathered together in a special memorial service to remember the men and women that were lost on that day 10 years ago. As we walked into the auditorium, we were each handed a card that had a name on it. Each person that was lost that day was represented by one of these cards. My card had the name “Michael Gogliormella” on it. The entire service was spent praying over these people individually. I prayed that hour for Michael’s family and for those closest to him. I knew walking out of the building that I had to somehow let his family know that nationally, people are still remembering and still praying for them specifically. They have not been forgotten. I hope that by this message, they will feel God’s presence and His peace. I have remembered this family in my prayers daily for the past month. I pray that He will continue to be with them. Gogliormella family- God loves you and He loves Michael. God bless this family.

In His Name,
Laura

I Wish I'd Known You Better, Michael G.
--Steve Malley @ 2011

It's ten years, though it could be a day.
I wish there was something I could do to keep you all from harm.
See I left, after the first bomb, I moved away.
It strange how time flows that way.

Though I didn't know you well,
that brilliant smile across the floor,
I knew the kindness you shared with all,
I just wish I'd known you better, Michael G.

You were the same age as me,
That whirlwind Wall Street world,
Keeping busy with securities,
Still I can't believe the tragedy,

See NY always bothered me,
too many people with no time to see,
feel blessed and cursed to have escaped that scene,

If there is a blessing in all this,
We now know the time we missed.
Love they neighbor, turn the wheel,
But it's high time that we forgive and heal.

I sorry I didn't take the time,
that I could call you a friend of mine,
But I do want all the world to see,
I just wish I'd known you better, Michael G.

I don't know where you are today and it may seem strange to say,
I hope that God adorns your soul and fills your loved ones here alone.
So, I took this time to stop and pray
that wherever you are your not alone,

Life's too short, how bittersweet,
And I just wish I'd known you better, Michael G.

I didn't know Michael, but first met his wife about 20 years ago. I suspect he was as great a person as she is, which is why they got together. I survived the attack on the World Trade Center, as I was able evacuate in time and wish he had been able to do so too. I wish him and all who knew him peace.

We had the 9/11 Rememberance walk in Las Vegas today. I walked for you. Your are #2176. I am truly sorry for your family's loss. I can't imagine what they are going through. I lost some of my friends at the Pentagon. I was stationed in DC when you passed. I just wanted you to know that you and everyone that was lost, will always be remembered.

I worked at Morgan Guaranty Trust when Michael came into the company as a trainee. I was an in-house transfer to IT as a trainee. In spite of my being older than the other trainees, Michael helped me be accepted as a member of the social group. I will always remember his generosity and kindness, especially on the anniversary of one of the greatest American tragedies. I watched his building collapse as I escaped downtown Manhattan on that day.

I was in Basic Training for the United States Airforce in San Antonio, Texas on 9/11 of this year. We participated in a Memorial Run and each of us wore a nametag of someone who died in the 9/11 attacks. My nametag was Michael Gogliormella. It was truly an honor to represent Michael's memory. I just wanted to say how very sorry I am for your loss. We will NEVER forget !

Dear loved ones of Michael,

I am so very sorry to learn of the loss of Michael. I did not know Michael, but was informed as to the loss of Michael through my Church. During the Memorial service on 9-11-02, I selected a wrist band to remember one of those lost in the World Trade Center bombing. I selected Michael's and wore it the entire week. Unfortunately, during that week, the web site was unavailable to relay my thoughts. Michael's wristband and his picture were placed on my bulletin board so I would not forget to contact you. Today, I made a point to stop everything and drop you this note. Please know that even in your darkest hour of sorrow, others from across the nation are wishing you peace, love and caring.

What more can I say except Michael's smile and wristband will always be present with me.

Warmest regards and God bless you.

Steven

P.S. I work with AIDS patients and know how fragile life is. Never forget how important it is to smile at those around you and let them know they matter. You may never have that chance again.

Michael,

I am so sad to learn that I will never know one of my cousins. Moreover I'm sad to learn of our relationship in this way. I know that you are with God and the rest of the family. God Bless - and know the whole family prays for you.

With all of our Love!

I worked with Michael for a short time at Merrill Lynch. He was such a pleasant person - always had a smile and a gentle way about him. I would see him from time to time after he left Merrill, on his way to catch the PATH to WTC - and he'd smile, say "hello" and look ahead to his destination across the river. I think of Michael from time to time and say a little prayer for him and his loved ones. Micheal, may you rest and peace.

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
