I knew Fred as a fraternity brother. This tall and friendly man was much admired.

November 15, 2013

My son and I where looking at the 9/11 memorial web sight and as soon as we opened the three D image gage Mr.Kelley was the first name we saw. Being our last name is Kelley we thought that durin my trip to the memorial I would find his name. I just returned from a one day trip to NYC and I found his name. I took a pitcher to show my son and said a prayer for Mr. Kelley. we plan to vist with the whole family in the next year. Our deepest sympathy from our family to yours.

I have just returned from a holiday which included a visit to the garden of remembrance at the WTC site. I had been up to the top in 1997 on a previous visit with my late husband. I purchased a band on which Mr Kelley's name was inscribed. I wanted to know more about him and hence found this site. Words cannot express how I feel. With Love, Jerry Margaret Williams

To Fred's family,

I did not know Fred; he was one of two people I chose to remember in the immediate aftermath, case he didn't have a family. This is the first time I've checked back and am so glad to know there are those he loved that have wonderful memories of him. I will continue to light a yarzeit candle (Jewish custom) for him, as he has unknowing touched my life.

Our town of Monson, MA remembered the victims who passed this life on 9-11. During the 10th anniversary tribute, we each received a White Spruce sapling with the name of one victim. I received a sapling with the name Fredrick H Kelley. I've read about his kind character and his loving family, and with honor, I will be planting my tree this weekend. It will grow in the path of the June 1st tornado, that ripped through our town. My tree will memorialize Mr Kelley, and also represent the strength of family, in the midst of devastation. I'm sorry for your loss. I will never forget..

We are not related, but we do share the same last name. It is hard to believe that five years have passed since 9/11. What a tragic day in history. I am sorry for your loss. May God bless and comfort you.

As an amateur student of history, it is my opinion that 9/11/01 was the worst day for America in my lifetime. The violent manner in which we lost our loved ones, our landmarks and our innocence (again), has prompted all of us to question our values and beliefs. I know I am.

However, the memory of Fred, and his happy way, leads me to believe that this is still God's country and there is hope for us all.

God Bless America and the Kelley Family.

Fred was my best friend in business and in life. I loved him and I will always love his family. I will always treasure the visit to the lake last summer. God allowed me to see him and his family at the place I had heard of for so many years. What a great time we had. Fourteen, no thirteen IRISH and me around a dinner table having dinner and drinks after golf. Fred and I met the morning after overlooking the lake, chatted for a while, and then I headed home. Fred, I hope you are home. God bless you and all your family and friends.

Fred Kelley was a great role model to the new members of Delta Sigma Phi @ St. Francis College in the

spring of 1965.

Fred was a member of a very noted & exceptional class.

Fred was a tall and very atheltic

man. He stood, quite literally,

We both feel very privileged to have known Fred. He could be fun and goofy but he could also be serious especially when you needed him to be. He is truly missed. We are glad that we can call him a friend.

"People disappear, but they never really go away." These words are as relevant on this anniversary date as they were painful at Fred's memorial.

And he is still next to us! On the sailboat. At the party. With the family at Thanksgiving dinner. There was so much life in this guy that I half expect he will walk away from all this and say "Gotch ya" one last time.

God bless you, Fred. "We loved you so..twas heaven here with you." Tom and Kate Piemonte Boston, Mass

Fred was many things to many people: a husband, a son, a father, a brother-in-law, a best friend, an amazing sailor and skier, and most recently a Grandpa. All who had the privilege to know him have the benefit of beautiful life-long memories and will always be remember his immeasurable love.

An unimaginable sense of loss and confusion has followed Fred's harsh and unexpected departure from our world. It is impossible to make sense of this tragic event. However, one thing he would want is to carry on with our lives while keeping his love close to our hearts. To remember Fred is to remember that life should be enjoyed. He taught us, that every moment on this earth with our family and friends is a true gift and blessing, not always easy, but a blessing none the less. When you think of Dad remember his tooth barring, ear to ear smile, that made people want to roll up the living room carpet, cut your work suit into shorts ad a t-shirt and dance with your closest friends to Proud Mary.

Fred was an amazing father and husband. Speaking for his children, we are blessed to have grown up with him as our guide and protector. Fred will be missed every second of every day, but his memory and love will continue in the minds and hearts of his family and friends. Thank you to everyone who has offered a helping hand, heart and prayers.

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
