I had planned to visit the N Y memorial this year John but didn't bank on a global pandemic. No one can take away the good memories they will remain always.
Thinking of you and your family and all who lost loved ones and were affected as the day comes around again. x

Terry and I visited the 9/11 Memorial downtown last week for the first time. John and Christine's names are on the southwest corner of the North pool along with others who were at the Risk Waters conference. It is a beautiful, somber memorial. John and Christine are missed.

I worked with John for a year prior to the tragic events that took this wonderful, caring and loving soul. I had contributed to the presentation he was scheduled to deliver that day at a conference he was attending when the plane hit. I think about him often, and worry about his kids and family.
I welcome contact from his family and want to ensure they are provided for.

I knew John many years ago when I lived a few doors from him in Wrangleden Road, Maidstone. We got close for a while and the record Silver Lady still holds a special place in my heart. I watched the Memorial Service yesterday and my thoughts and sympathy go to his family.

I did not have the privilege of knowing John, but yesterday I carried his name as I walked in our community memorial parade in West Plains, Missouri. I want his family to know that we care about your loss and are sending prayers for comfort and strength especially today.

As I cross-stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.

To Kevin - I viewed the entries that you and others made, and I wish that I had known your brother. I am honored to share the same name with you both, and always remember that I will never forget. Iron Nation Motorcycle Club had their annual 9/11 run today with over 800 riders and a Reno Fire Truck to start it out. I thought of all the Moran's that were taken that day, and all the others. God Bless you and yours, you are in my prayers...

I with about 7000 other motorcycle riders in Phoenix took part in a Patriot Tribute Ride on 9/7/03 which I understand was taped and will be broadcast on 9/11 in NYC. I was proud to have John's name (along with another victim) on a wristband duirng the ride and throughout the day. Since that day I often think about John and wonder what type of person he was and what his life was like. I hope this message finds a family member and he/she realizes he is not forgotten.

John,
We met on a few happy occasions through our mutual friend, Simon. I will remember you as a warm, decent and able person. It is a tragedy that you were so cruelly cut down in your prime. My thoughts are with all your family and friends,
Darran.

To whom ever finds this helpful... My name is Katey and I go to Bishop Alemany High School, this is my second year there. Today in my 4th period religion class, my teacher gave us each two stars. Following that were two names of victims from 9/11, in whcih those names will be placed on a star, and will be veiwed by hunreds of people at our back to school night this coming friday. I was blessed with the privilege to received John's name. Now I know I live on the other side of the country but I have an aunt that lives amoung the people in N.Y. and I quite often used to visit her. So I have been to New York before and I will never go back with the feeling of that beautiful city to be complete. I think John Christopher Moran was a wonderful person and i know he is safe with god. I pray for you everyday.
With much love and condolences I wish your family the best of luck in the future!
Sincerely,
Katey Herbert

We'll sing a song, a soldier's song
With cheering, rousing chorus
As round our blazing fires we throng.
The starry heavens o'er us;
Impatient for the coming fight,
And as we wait the morning's light
Here in the silence of the night
We'll chant a soldier's song.
The Irish National Anthem,
God Bless You and your family

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
