Patti, the depth of sorrow after 14 years still grabs my soul with the intensity of that very first reality of Mark's death. I have never seen this Newsday interview until tonight, 9/12/15. You are remarkable, and Mark has given you all strength from the heavens to endure these voids, now along with your parents. He shows signs of hope along with the other victim/angels...like a rainbow over NYC on the eve of 9/11/15. You never cease to amaze me how you cope, and you are an inspiration to your children, your family, friends, me & my children, and your town, West Islip. The way you honor his death with every ounce of love & devotion with tradition of flowers, luminaries, togetherness of family just is simple unconditional soulful, faithful LOVE. I am proud to stand with you and the kids (that are now adults). Your example teaches us all how precious life is appreciating one moment at a time. Mark has left an indelible stamp in our souls. I love you, my BFF. God's Blessings for peace in your heart. Diane

Marty-I miss you more and more each day. My only solace is to believe that you are always looking over us. Our three children have grown to be incredible adults. They are loving, kind, and caring -all attributes that attracted me to you. I carry you with me all through my days and nights. I was so very blessed to have a man like you to love me. My only hope is that you will be there waiting for me.......

Marc was truly a great guy. He was always nice to everyone. He was very smart, liked to laugh and had a great sense of humor. He also gave you a dig when you needed/deserved it. I went to St. John's with him and played intramural flag football with him. He was on the offensive/defensive line and he battled it out with some pretty big dudes especially from the varsity baseball team. We hung out with a group in between classes and for a beer or two on Fridays and weekends. I will always pray for him, his wife, his children and his family.

My heart still aches for your family everyday. I am saddened deeply that you do not get to see how truly wonderful your children are. Though I know you are within them. I was blessed the day you moved in and I was blessed to know you at all. I continue to be blessed by having your beautiful wife and children in my life and my childrens lives. Still to this day there is no man like you. Like the man Patti talks about all the time. May God keep you always, until we are once again neighbors.

Mark you were my little brother. we grew up as children together. I should have said I love you more often but I certainly respected you. I never expected all my bros. to go long before me. It does'nt seem fair. If i could sacrifice myself for either of you, in a heartbeat.
Meanwhile rest assured I will always take care of our mother. With that respect for you who everyone who knew you must certainly have, love Shelly

We received a small White Spruce from an anonymous donor whose daughter worked near the Trade Center and survived. We will be planting it in our yard to remember Mark. We never met him but as fellow Long Islander's we feel connected. My 11 year old son Ian Worthley will help plant the tree. We will pray as we plant it for the wife and family Mark left behind. Happy New Year to Mark and God Bless to his family. Much Love, Richard, Mary and Ian Worthley/ Oceanside, New York/9-9-02/

God knows my heart and tears go out to The Rosen Family and all the families who lost a loved one in all of the tragics. Mr. Rosen was a good and kind man. He was always nice to my son Richie, who is a good friend of his son Bryan. May his soul rest in peace with the angels in Heaven. I pray that his family has peace knowing this and he will be missed.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
