Leanne, I spoke to you often through your job at AON. I always enjoyed our chats. You were friendly, helpful, professional and a really nice person. We chatted just before you left for New York. You were really looking forward to the next 12 months. I’ve thought of you so often and will never forget you. Rest in peace.

I only knew you for a short time but liked and admired you immediately. As I watched the towers burn and collapse live on television, I had no idea you were in the inferno. Your death grieves me to this day. I visit your name at the memorial each time I visit New York. Rest in peace, Leanne.

I never knew you Leanne but as an Australian visiting the Memorial today I looked up who were Austalian and saw that you are from my hometown Melbourne. I said a prayer for you and your family today. May you be resting in peace and may your family be holding on tight to all the precious memories they have of you.

Leanne
I studied law with you at Monash University and remember how friendly you always were to me.
I remember how sad I felt when I heard the news about your passing.
I have been to New York twice in the last 5 years and I always go down to the site and pay my respects to yourself and all Australians who died that terrible day.

I met Leanne a few times when she provided advice to Bendigo Health as part of her job at AON. Lovely, lively young woman. She was personable and admirable in her abilities and knowledge. We heard a day or so later that she had perished on 9/11 - we were all devastated to hear. Since then every time I visit New York I go to visit her name at the memorial.

Each 9/11 anniversary I think of you and your family.
I attended Blackburn High School with your brother David and remember just how bright you were and knew that you were both destined for great things.
I came across this page on the internet tonight after watching a documentary of that apocalyptic day and felt compelled to let David know that while I haven't him since 1986, I always think of him and your family during this sombre time.

Dear Leanne,
i will cherish the few memories i have of you as i was only a young teenager meeting an uncles girlfriend. I remember you as very a very talkative lively person, very polite and full of grace. Every year I'm blessed with the opportunity of meeting you all those years ago, and i will never forget those times.
GOD BLESS YOU LEANNE

I share your name and my children share your surname. I first learned of your death many years ago and there is not a year that goes by that I don't think of your family and loved ones and whisper a prayer for them on this day of all days. I never knew you but I think of you often.
RIP Leanne
God bless your family, LeAnne

I only first heard of Leanne after the events of Sept 11 and learned that she'd followed her dreams to my home country and I to hers. I wish to express my sympathies to the friends and family that DID know her, but for me she is a symbol of all lost that day. May they all be held close in our hearts.

I never meet nor heard of leanne before 9/11, but looking at a memorial, something caught my eye. My last name, on a woman whose life was tragically cut short. I want her family to know you are in my prayers and I'm truly sorry for the loss. I would really like to find out more and see if the name is shared, or just a coincidence. I'm truly sorry, and God bless!

Memorial bracelets honoring the WTC
victims were available on e-bay and
I am very honored to be wearing a
bracelet with Leanne's name on it.
Her name will be carried with me
wherever I go. I wish that I could
somehow let her family know this and
possibly learn more about her.
After reading the tributes about Leanne, she must have been a
wonderful person, as were all of the
victims.

I met Leanne several years ago and managed to stay in regular contact with her even though we lived at opposite ends of the country. We shared many life stories, some sad and some so funny I still smile. She was a shoulder for me when I needed it and somehow things never seemed so bad once we were chatting..did that girl ever know how to talk! Now, one year later I have only just found out that my friend will only be found in my heart and memories. I miss you Lee.

To My Dear Friend Leanne,
You achieved your dream of working in New York and I am so proud of you. I miss the sound of your infectious laugh coming out the door of your office in Aon Melbourne. We had great chats virtually everyday & we were constantly caught giggling and gossiping in your office. You always had a beautiful smile on your face that cheered me up no matter what. You knew how to throw a great party and boy did you know how to party! Everyone you met was touched by your warmth and genuine friendship and I will always remember you for that gift.
On the eve of the first anniversary my thoughts are with your family and friends and of the painful year this has been for all of us.
Leanne, Rest in Peace.
Love Pamela

We did not know Leanne, but my husband is the brother of Cam Sutton who works for Aon. I came across this on the internet and wanted to express our deepest sympathy. I have thought of all the lives lost that day and especially of the ones from my brother-in-laws office and it still hurts deeply. Our deepest deepest sympathy to the family.

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
