In 2001 I was asked to contribute a quilt square to a 9/11 victim. I chose Robert C. Miller because I have a brother with the same name. I researched who Mr. Miller was so I could make the square to honor who he was. Twenty years later, on September 11, 2021, I want to express my condolences to his family and friends. May his memory be cherished in your lives always.

On 9-11-03, 3,412 American Flags were unfurled in a Tribute Field in Lubbock, Tx. Each flag represented an individual who lost his/her life in the terrorist attacks on 9-11-01. I received the flag in honor of Mr.Robert C Miller. I am a Retired Captain with the Lubbock Tx. Fire Dept. For Christmas in 2003 I received the flag and a Framed Tribute in honor or Mr. Miller. This memoral is displayed in a shadow box in our den which we proudly display.

If I understand right Robert was my dad's second cousin. My great grandparents were Millers from N.J. My grandmother was Lois Miller. I wish Lisa and family all of God's blessings. On this fifth anniversary of 9.11 I'm reminded of how much we as Americans are one family; and so we celebrate and grieve together. I'll always feel like I too was affected by 9.11 because of the loss of Robert.

Even though I cannot see you,
I am certain that your heart is here. If you find that you miss me, always look at the sun that rises in the morning and the moon that rises in the evening. Whatever the time, I will be reflected in the sun and the moon. And in our next life, let us meet in the pure land of Eagle Peak.

To the family of R. C. Miller. My husband wore Robert's wrist bracelet in the recent Patriot motorcycle ride on 9/11 here in Arizona. There were approx 4500 bikes in all and we hope it helps a small bit to know he was among those remembered that day. My husband rides a Harley Softail Custom and is a fairly new rider so this was his first time in a large group. He was very moved and we just wanted you to know that Robert had a great ride that day and he touched us as we hope we touched a part of him. Jack & Sally Burt

The right words are hard to find. A gentle soul was torn from the fabric of our everyday life at Aon. The tear can never be repaired.
We all miss you Bob. We try to express our sorrow but can we ever truly convey our feelings? Rest in peace.

In memory of Robert C. Miller
We did not know Robert, but my husband is the brother of Cam Sutton who works for Aon. I came across this on the internet and wanted to express our deepest sympathy. I have thought of all the lives lost that day and especially of the ones from my brother-in-laws company. It still hurts deeply. Our deepest deepest sympathy to the family.

Bob and I worked together at RBH.
I was his secretary for a few years. He was a great person, fun to work with even when he was serious. I know you miss him terribly. My prayers are with you and Bob.

After You're Gone
written by Iris DeMent
There'll be laughter even after you're gone
I'll find reasons to face that empty dawn
I've memorized each line in your face
And not even death could ever erase
The story they tell to me
I'll miss you, oh how I'll miss you
I'll dream of you and cry a million tears
But the sorrow will pass
And the one thing that will last
Is the love that you've given to me

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

To The Family of Robert C. Miller:
Please accept my deepest sympathy of the loss of Robert Miller. Bob and I went to Belvidere High School together and graduated in 1964. I
didn't know him very well, but he was always nice to me when we did have contact of any kind.
I was distressed to find out he'd been lost in the Twin Towers disaster. He deserved to live a much longer, happy life.
I wish you peace this holiday season.
