My dear brother in law, we miss dearly. Every time I look at your son's face I see you. He is growing up to be the everything you wanted your son to be. He is a reflection of you. I know every time you look down at him you smile.

To the Matricciano Family...
I was working at Dante's during my College years and there was not ONE day that Cello didn't make me laugh! He made an otherwise tedious work day go by really fast! He was truly one of a kind. I heard of his fate a couple of days after the fact. Since then, he has been always in my family's prayers.

It's been 8 years... and no matter how much time has passed or how our lives have changed, we still miss and love you the same. I am grateful for my new family but continue to miss you everyday of my life. Nicholas is turning into a young man right before my eyes and it's amazing how each day he looks more and more like you. You were taken from us too quick but I am grateful for the wonderful, kind, sweet and loving son you left me. He is a piece of you that I will cherish and love for the rest of my days. WE LOVE YOU MY LOVE!!

Marcello Matricciano: Letter To My Wife

For Rosie

A s always, the day was predictable
N othing out of the ordinary
D ear, except maybe the beauty of a prelude.

T ell me something, is not it a glorious morning?
H ummingbirds illuminating the skies and
E xtremity not in sight?

H ow, oh how I long to run home. To the
O rnaments of my life.
M y wife, my son, my family and friends.
E idolons oh eidolons to be.

O h, if only fate had been gentle and what
F ell from the skies was rain.

T o my wife, to my son, in your humble
H earts for eternity I'll be.
E den awaits me and by the sea I'll be free.

B e strong my beloved ones
R ise above sorrow
A nd the evilness of men. For God built a
V alhalla for my saviors and for my soul
E verlasting bliss.

My youngest child was conceived around September 11th, 2001. We felt that for every life lost, God sent a new life to carry on. We named our child Marcello, for an unknown reason. What a surprise to find a Marcello lost on September 11th. I feel a special connection to this Marcello lost and hope that our son can be a wonderful person such as this Marcello was.

I was so sad when I heard the news, you touched many lives and it is so sad that you had to have your life cut short.

My God keep you close to him in heaven, I know that's where you are.

God bless you and everyone in your family and all of those who loved you.

Marcello, words cannot explain how i feel as i write this letter. We were class mates at one time back in grammer school and even though i haven't seen you in quite some time i still remembered you as one of the most gentelest human beings i have ever known even through your brother i know that you have a great family and close friends. I can't say anymore. I'm sorry man for all this to happen to you. It should"ve never been.

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
