Just found this site. I served with Frank in the USAF at Osan AB, Korea in 1968. My wife and I asked Frank and Rose to be our daughter's Godparents in 1971. I am totally shocked to learn of his death on 9/11. I never got to meet Rose but I remember him talking about her all the time. May God look after you and your daughter. Frank was a great guy. He will be missed.

Dear Rose,
Even though we did not get to know Frank, we still remember him going to the mailbox to get the mail. We still feel his presence, so he really isn't gone. He is just getting the mail in a higher better place now. You and him will eventually reunite again forever.

To Frank's Family:
I remembered Frank today. Some 4 years later and I still can't believe he was taken away from his family. I remember working with him at A&A. He truly was a good man and you could just tell how much he loved his family and was so proud. Remember the good times. It is so important the life he lived and not the way he died. He does live on. God Bless.

My daughter bought me a mercy band. It had Frank's name on it.
I have not taken it off in two years.
I pray for his family and for our country.
We will not forget Frank,
Respectfully,

To the family:
We wanted to let you know that we participated in a "911 Patriot" ride, consisting of over 8,000 motorcycles. Everyone was given a wristband of ALL that perished that "never forgotten day!" We were given the name of your loved one, Mr. Frank John Niestadt Jr..
We rode and displayed our flag in honor of your loss...our hearts go out to you and your family and friends. Just wanted you to know that even miles across the country and two years after the tragic day...he is not forgotten!
Just wanted you to know....
Our Heartfelt sympathy,
Howard & Pat Fleischmann

Last night, I attended a memorial service at my church, Fielder Road Baptist, in Arlington, TX. Each attendee received a candle and a card with the name of an individual lost on September 11. My candle has Frank's name on it. It was the first time that I actually "connected" with someone affected by the events. My prayers were somewhat general last night.
While reading through the guest book, however, I have discovered that Frank was a man of high character and full of life. Now, my prayers continue for his wife and daughter. May God bless you and may your memories of Frank bring you joy.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of Frank. He was a smart, dedicated, honorable man who made everyone's life he touched better.
We worked together at Aon and I knew him for a number of years prior to joining Aon. My thoughts and prayers go out to Frank's family and all those who are still deeply saddened by his passing. He will always be missed.

Frank and I worked together back in the eighties and I must say that he was one of the most hardworking and dedicated people that I ever knew. Even though he lived far out on Long Island, he was almost always one of first in the office. His work was pristine. Clients loved him because he was so precise. He was the ideal husband and father. There were so many times when he would talk about his daughter to me. I will miss you, Frank, and consider it a privilege that I knew you. You were a gentleman!

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

I had the pleasure of working with Frank at Alexander & Alexander in 1993. He was such a kind and caring boss. I remember the time he invited the whole surety dept to his house for a bbq. His wife and daughter are such sweet people and I know they miss him terribly. He was so dedicated to his profession. I remember when he came to work for Aon you could see just how hard he worked. He put everything he had into his profession as well as his family. I am sad that he along with Barbara Guzzardo didn't make it out safely. I know in my heart that they are together watching over all their love ones. God bless his wife Rose and his daughter and I hope that one day they know some kind of peace. May they always cherish the good memories.
