Hello Donna,
My name is Melvin M. Killough. I have become familiar with your name and story, due to the tragedy in NY. We obviously don't know one another, but, I have grown close to you, through the publicity of the attacks. On that day, I was on vacation and making my way to Detroit, MI., to visit a friend. It was an eerie day, riding on that Greyhound Bus, and realizing that all air-traffic was grounded. I'm just thankful that I've been able to get to know you, through the media. You're obviously a Christian, as am I. I'm thankful that The Lord chose to spare you that day. You're a very brave and courageous woman and I appreciate you. Thank you, Melvin

In memory of Hardai Parbhu
We did not know Hardai, but my husband is the brother of Cam Sutton who works for Aon. I came across this on the internet and wanted to express our deepest sympathy. I have thought of all the lives lost that day and especially of the ones from my brother-in-laws office and it still hurts deeply. Our deepest deepest sympathy to the family.

In a city where everyone always seemed on the go, you always took the time to say hello. Your quiet and sweet demeanor would greet us with a smile, no matter how hurried your neighbors seemed. Some of us now may wish that we had taken that time, to speak more words than just hello. But you will forever be in our thoughts and remembered as the lady with the sweet gentle smile. Our prayers are with you and your loved ones and we hope that you will continue to smile down upon us. May you find peace in your new home.

Casey:
It has been hard for me to think of words to write to you. I wish I made you and everyone else leave with me that day. There has not been a day that I have not thought about you. However, today I can not stop thinking about you. Today is my birthday and all that I could think of is how you brought me flowers, balloons and a gift last year. It is what you wrote in the card “Cara, thank you for always coming to work smiling, you make the office a happier place for all of us”. Sometimes I wonder how I am able to go on with my life after this nightmare and I realize that is because of people like you. I have to go on smiling because you would want me to. I miss your smile and your sweet soft-spoken voice. You are always with me in my heart and in my mind. I will keep smiling in your honor. Until we meet again…
Love Always Your Friend,
Cara

Casey,
I will miss you very much - I think about you every day. I will never forget how you held me that day as we walked together - you didn't let go of me. But on that fateful day, I guess God had better plans for you. I have spoken to your sister and your brother in law and I hope what I have told them has made it a little easier for them. I will always remember the friendship we had, the days you would try and keep me calm, the day you gave me that "Who Moved My Cheese" book and the day you brought me flowers for giving you the tennis tickets - and your smile. I enjoyed working with you because of your "calmness" about you. You will always be a special person in my life - you were a special and caring person in a lot of lives. I miss you Casey - but we will meet again (and maybe you can take me to a tennis match with the angels). Love, Donna

America Cries
We see your sorrow-
and our hearts cry....
We can not erase your pain
but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-
-the American people-
are beside you.
We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,
the strength that gives you courage,
and the words to lighten your spirits.
And when we are left speechless
may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts
to ease your sorrow.
May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-
-the American people-
face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn

Casey was a Tennis fan and was so excited when she was told that a couple of professional tennis players were playing tennis in the concourse of the World Trade Center. She jumped up from her desk and went down stairs to see for herself and when one of the players asked her if she would like to play a little tennis she took off her shoes and started hitting the ball with him. I cannot tell you how excited she was (it made her day). This year was also rewarding because her boss, John Morrissey, got her a ticket to the U.S. Open and she was so thrilled to watch her favorite tennis player Yevgeny Kafelnikov play a match. I just wanted to say that I will miss your bright smile and your kindness.

Casey,
I miss your soft-spoken voice, your enthusiasm and your sincerity. I will cherish the unique and thoughtful gifts you gave to me on so many different occasions.
I miss you, but I know that you now have the "best seat in the house" to enjoy those tennis matches you love so much.
I feel honored to have known you and will remember you always.
