Albert's flag is still flying in our front garden in Pittsburgh and I'm careful to make sure that it is surrounded by colorful flowers as long as the season lasts.

911 was a very sad day, but i'm glad this is something we don't have to go through on a daily bases. I know in some parts of the world violence is a part of peoples daily lives. We still need aware that 911 can happen any time, but for the most part we can enjoy freedom stabilty and peace. My grandfather was a funny, smart, wise, and caring person who had jokes to share and wise advise to share. My grandfarther Aka POPS was a god fearing man and only want the best for his family. He gave me the best mother every, world class aunts and uncles who are the most loving and caring family a son, nephew, and grandson could every have. My grandfather gave me the finest family in the world who I love with all my heart. This is Albert Gunnis Joseph Wesley Perrys Grandest Grandfather.

In 2002, our son Paul brought home a flag that had been given to him at a 9/11 commemoration ceremony at his school in Pittsburgh. The flag bore (and still bears) a label with the name 'Albert Joseph'. The print is still as clear as on the day Paul brought it home, and we have learned a great deal about this remarkable and kind man from website articles.
We feel that we have been honored to have been able to keep this tribute in our garden for the past ten years. Today, we want his friends and family to know that a flag with Mr Joseph's name on it is surrounded by flowers in a sunny corner of a garden in Pittsburgh in memory of a very good man.
We send his friends and family our warmest good wishes on this sad but important day.

As I cross-stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.
