Jesus Gonzalo Iturralde: June 4th 1921 - Feb 6 2023.

On February 6th 2023 we said goodbye to our dear Jesus 'no-no' Gonzalo Iturralde. He passed peacefully and finally reunited with the love of his life and wife, 'Mima'. He was a brilliant and accomplished man, having lived 101 beautiful years...a feat in and of itself that very few have managed to achieve. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, who made life a lot brighter with his music, art, poetry, love of animals, and jokes. We were so lucky to have had such a special human in our lives for as long as we did.

He was born in Alquizar, Cuba on June 4, 1921. There while growing up in a very humble household with three siblings, he worked hard to educate himself in the field of engineering and communications, and rose to lead a team of 34 engineers and technicians that supported

A sector of the island's " Red de Microondas Terrestre" which was the island's microwave communications network deployed prior to the Castro Communist revolution.

He was a selfless man who took pride in his family and sacrificed everything by leaving his native land behind in the late 60s for a better life for his wife, son, and generations to come.

He started his new journey traveling to Madrid, Spain first, before working his way to America. Eventually, the family settled in the small town of West New York, NJ where he lived for most of his life with his family.

While we will all miss the bright light that he brought into our lives, we are comforted knowing that that light will shine on through his memory. He will forever be with us...watching over and protecting his loved ones.
