I am a little late in writing this. Mike was an old friend but we fell out of touch in the last couple of years. For some period of time when I lived in the DC area but had no vehicle Mike drove me to Mass dutifully. We shared a number of meals together and even a road trip down to Richmond VA full of good conversation. Mike was intelligent, incredibly generous, and kind. Mike was an "11th hour labourer" having reverted back to the faith later in life but his knowledge and zeal put long time traditional Catholics like myself to shame. I was impressed and edified by his class, gentlemanliness, and love for the faith. I regret having fallen out of touch never having made it back to DC to reunite. I will endeavour to have a Mass said for Mike and remember him in my rosary intentions and will think of him every so often when smoking a pipe!

Mike was a very dedicated man. He dutifully said his Rosary every night, and he always had something insightful to say in virtually any situation. He will be missed.

Mike was a humble man, that I will remember for his presence, attentiveness, caring and zeal. He gave smiles and laughs freely and blessed those he touched. I pray to sing with him one day in the Empyrean, just as we lifted our voices together in the choir lofts of Maryland and Virginia.

My favorite memory of Mike is when he shocked our team randomly by blessing us with his beautiful operatic skills! You will be missed!
