A graduate of John Marshall High School and Wheeling Jesuit University, Michael's career spanned a spectrum of roles, from Computer Programmer to Software Engineer, Mentor, Teacher, and Writer. His passion lay in developing and enhancing software for medical technology systems, where his expertise shone brightly. He approached every project with diligence and determination, earning a reputation as a subject matter expert. His colleagues valued his guidance, and his clients cherished his insight. Michael's presence within any team was transformative and his absence will be deeply felt.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Michael was known for his kindness and generosity, extending his warmth not only to family but to a multitude of friends who cherished his companionship and support. Michael strived to the greater good and to be a better person every day, and to support those he cared about to do the same. He was catholic by faith and very active at St Pius X Chapel in Upper Marlboro, MD. He supported many charities and gave generously of his time as well. Even after death he continued to give by donating his body to Georgetown University Medical School Anatomical Donor Program. His memory will live on as an inspiration for all who strive to follow his example of compassion, dedication, and love.

Michael is survived by his brother, Paul (Marty) Henderson Sr., and his two nephews, Scott (Trilby) Henderson and Marty Henderson Jr. Additionally, he leaves behind great nieces and nephews, including Tiffany Henderson, Brittany (David) Powell, Eli (Haley) Henderson, Halie Henderson, Jesika Henderson, and Dalton Henderson, along with several great-great nieces and nephews. I am a little late in writing this. Mike was an old friend but we fell out of touch in the last couple of years. For some period of time when I lived in the DC area but had no vehicle Mike drove me to Mass dutifully. We shared a number of meals together and even a road trip down to Richmond VA full of good conversation. Mike was intelligent, incredibly generous, and kind. Mike was an "11th hour labourer" having reverted back to the faith later in life but his knowledge and zeal put long time traditional Catholics like myself to shame. I was impressed and edified by his class, gentlemanliness, and love for the faith. I regret having fallen out of touch never having made it back to DC to reunite. I will endeavour to have a Mass said for Mike and remember him in my rosary intentions and will think of him every so often when smoking a pipe!

Mike was a very dedicated man. He dutifully said his Rosary every night, and he always had something insightful to say in virtually any situation. He will be missed.

Mike was a humble man, that I will remember for his presence, attentiveness, caring and zeal. He gave smiles and laughs freely and blessed those he touched. I pray to sing with him one day in the Empyrean, just as we lifted our voices together in the choir lofts of Maryland and Virginia.

My favorite memory of Mike is when he shocked our team randomly by blessing us with his beautiful operatic skills! You will be missed!
