Luyben Dilday Mortuary - Long Beach Obituary

Samuel Banda, an aviation painter, and long time resident of Lakewood, passed away on August 7, 2020 at the age of 59.
Samuel Banda is survived by his wife, Gayle Banda, his children oldest daughter Samantha Banda, only begotten son Joshua, Joshua’s wife Ashley Banda, his youngest daughter Patricia Banda, his 3 grandchildren, Cristien Banda, Lykan and Scarlet, older sister Daisy, older brother Eddie, and younger brother Mark.
Samuel Banda was born in Torrance CA on January 3, 1961. He graduated from Leuzinger High School in 1978, where he played both football and baseball.
He then started working at Northrup Grumman and in 1980 he joined the United States Army where he served a 3 year tour. The following year he
married the love of his life, Gayle Banda on September 30, 1981. Next month would've been their 39th wedding anniversary. Even though Samuel spent majority of his time at a baseball field, he was a devoted husband, an amazing father and the best grandpa. He was the epitome of a family man.
++He will deeply be missed by his friends, family and to all that had the privilege of knowing him.

Not sure what to say?

I am a friend of Daisy and remember Sam when I visited their house years ago in Albuquerque. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. It looks like he grew into a good man. I wish I could have known him. I would really like to reconnect with Daisy after many years. I am back living in New Mexico.

Sam was a good friend who was a special kind of man. I was proud to call him my friend, and will always keep him in my memories. Rest In Peace buddy, take care.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
