You were the kindest person I knew in the department at U.T. Thank you.

How lucky I was to have Dr Jennings as the department chair during my tenure at UT ( BFA Dance 1979-83)! I changed from a BA to BFA in my sophomore year and didn't realize I needed a directing credit until my final spring semester, no directing classes were open. Dr Jennings approved my taking his Theater for Youth class, which had a final project that included directing an excerpt from a theatre for youth oriented play. It was double win for me as was able to graduate on time and learn from a master at the same time. Thanks for all the love and support you gave to the students and department. Long live Dr. Coleman Jennings!

He was a cheerful and supportive mentor while I attended UT Drama in the early 70's. His energy, leadership and creativity will be sorely missed. My condolences to his family.

I was a student at UT Drama from 1972-1977 and was cast by Dr. Jennings in a production of "Androcles and the Lion." Aurand Harris, the playwright, was in residence for final rehearsals. I always enjoyed Dr. Jennings' kindness, wit and vast knowledge of the theatre. He was the last of the greats that I studied under and he will always have a place in my heart.
