John A Mitchener III

Brother Bill was a unique fisherman with the cane pole and a fine high school athlete. Set hair cut fashion for Norfleet Pruden to emulate! Academics were good. He blessed brothers Joe and John with his wisdom daily. Grateful for his presence for many years. I miss my brother!

Thinking of the Mitchener family today, especially dear Allison. May your remembrances of Bill bring you comfort, joy, and perhaps even laughter as you remember things he said and did. May God bless and keep you this day and every day.

Prayers for the family and friends of this remarkable man. We know that he was a great father by being longtime friends of his daughter, Allison.
Our deepest sympathies to the family and regrets that we are unable to attend his funeral. Please know that we will be thinking of you and praying for you. He is Home now , but we know how hard it is to no longer have him here. May you be comforted by memories of him and love from family/friends. God bless you all.

Although I did not know Bill, his brother John--here in Edenton--gave an insightful eulogy at church yesterday, demonstrating how close the bothers and their intermingled families were. May he rest in peace....and thanks to John for sharing.
