Thomas Boudinot joined his loving wife of 58 years, Evelyn, in the kingdom of our Heavenly father on Friday, February 26, 2021. Tom lived his entire life in California, he was born in San Francisco, graduated from Bellarmine HS in 1949 and married Evelyn in 1953 and settled into San Jose where they raised three sons. Tom enlisted in the US Navy, serving during the Korean War from 1951-1955 as a Dental Assistant at the Navy base at Moffett Field. Tom worked for Lockheed Martin for over 35 years supporting many programs including the Space Shuttle and Hubble Space Telescope.
The aerospace industry was something Tom enjoyed, but what he loved was taking his family on outdoor adventures. He introduced his three boys to hunting, fishing, boating and camping. In 1969 Tom purchased a boat. The boat allowed him to share decades of water and camping fun with his sons, his family, their families and many friends on their favorite Lake Shasta. Tom was a member of the Saratoga Sportsman's Club where he made life-long friends.
Tom lived the full breadth and width of his life, spending his time with the people he loved and doing what brought him joy including many hobbies, home projects, and of course, planning and looking forward to the "next trip" whether it was for sport or pleasure. Family trips to Shasta, Bear Lake, and other vacation destinations were frequent. His love of nature and projects lives on through his boys and their families. 'If you wish to see the love of this man, look around,' as his sons can also be found sharing and encouraging the love of outdoors, travel and simply enjoying life with their own families.
Tom was predeceased by his parents Edgar and Agnes, and his wife Evelyn who journeyed ahead of him in 2011. We find peace in knowing they are reunited. He is survived by his sons: David (Jackie); Mark (Susan), and James (Shirley); grandchildren: Matt (Sarah), Michael (Jessica), Ryan (Ericka), Kevin (Sarah), Daniel (Emily), Spencer, Curtis, Shaun, and Nathan; and great-grandchildren Kaileia, Baylee, Brian, Jax, Lucia.
A memorial celebration of Tom's life will be held later this year when we are able to gather safely together. The family would like to give a special thanks to Tom and Sonia of Somerset Senior Living, and Dennis Davis for assisting and caring for our father during dialysis services.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to share a special time with your spouse, children, family and/or friends in nature, somewhere that is or will become as special to you as many places have for Tom and his family. Speak Tom's name, share a story, make memories and while you do, raise a glass to his memory and that of his beloved, Evelyn.
