CHARLES GREINER Obituary

GREINER CHARLES Passed away on March 26, 2021. He was 83. Charles was born in Philadelphia to Marie and George Greiner. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Barbara (nee Dougherty); children, Mark (Beth); grandchildren, Taylor, and Nikki (Micah); and great-grandson, Beckham. Charles is also survived by nieces and nephews who were like children to him, Dan,Trisha, Debbie, Missy, Jen, Maryhelen, Joe, Trisha, Margie, Jimmy, Shawn, Megan. Charles is predeceased by his brother, Edwin, by five days. The brothers both had contracted Covid-19. Charles was a dedicated and devoted son, husband, father and family man. Through his sheer perseverance and native intelligence, he overcame prodigious challenges and attained an electrical engineering bachelor's of science degree and master's of business at Temple University and rose to Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for a power technology multinational. His professional accomplishments evolved from hands-on talent for masonry, electrical, plumbing, and draft design. He took great joy in bringing laughter to his family and the neighborhood children with his "dad jokes" and silly characters i.e., Mister Magic, Charlie Chan and the reknown MC Halloween Horror. Always civically minded, Charles was a proud and informed Democrat, army veteran, and reservist. He remained forever actively interested in learning and engaging in debate. He offered his pro bono services as a board member and a consultant. Charles was a devout Catholic which inspired 53 years of volunteerism with his parish, St. Vincent DePaul. By request of the family, a private internment will be followed by a memorial in the future. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Guillain-Barre Society 866-224-3301 www.gbs-cidp.org Condolences may be offered by visiting www.McGheeFuneralHome.com
