Belleville, Illinois - John Ed Foran, age 86, of Belleville, IL, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 10:07 a.m. in his home.
John was born on November 20, 1934 in East St. Louis, MO, a son to Arthur and Pearl (Hendrickson) Foran. He proudly served in the United States Navy and had worked for Illinois Central Railroad for forty-two years, he retired in 1996. John had been married.
Survivors include his one brother, Jim Foran; and children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Earl and Bill Foran.
John's wishes were to have his body donated to Washington University School of Medicine and no service will be held.
"Don't cry for me, I had a great life. And I want to thank all my family and friends for all the joy and happiness you gave me. I had a ball."

A SLOW SALUTE – TO A FELLOW VETERAN
THANK YOU - FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY. You are one of our heroes. We will remember you always and miss you dearly. Take your Warrior's rest for a duty well done.
I wish to extend to members of your family my deepest sympathy on their loss. May the force of GOD be with them as they walk through this difficult time. May the loving promises of our LORD and Savior comfort them and give them peace.
