Steven Allen Ellsworth

1951 - 2021

Steven Allen Ellsworth, 69, of Findley Lake, N.Y., passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at his residence. He was born on August 5, 1951 in Fargo, North Dakota, the son of the late David Nash and Elizabeth Marie (Funk) Fossum.

Steven joined the United States Navy during Vietnam in 1970 and served on the USS Ticonderoga. He retired from the Navy in 1990 and began working at Welch's Foods where he made many friends over the years. Steven was a member of the American Legion Post #105 and the V.F.W Post #4789. His grandchildren were the apples of his eye.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Pam Mathern; and brother, Perry Ellsworth.

Steven is survived by his beloved wife, Tamara Ann Hamman Ellsworth; children, Megan Ellsworth of North East, and Chandra Struble of North East; grandchildren, Kallasia Ellsworth (Derek), and Kaiden Ellsworth; sisters, Jan Plath (Jim) of Minnesota, DeeDee Ellsworth of Fargo, N.D.; brother, Richard Ellsworth (Margie) of Fargo, N.D.; and half-brother, Matt Fossum (Geri).

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East. A celebration of life will be held at the North East American Legion Post #105, 17 South Mill St., North East, Pa., on Sunday, May 16th from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. followed by Full Military Honors.
