Thonotosassa, Florida - John S. Lucas Jr., 82, of Thonotosassa, FL, passed away on July 25, 2021 in Zephyrhills, FL. He was born in Flushing, NY, on February 3, 1939, to John Sr., and Sarah Lucas.
John was a veteran of the US Navy and retired as a System Organizational Tech. He was a member of the Crystal Springs Baptist Church in Crystal River, FL.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Lucas; children; Rick Lucas and Stephanie Hooks; step-children; Bethanne, Michelle, Ken and Brian; two grandchildren; Whitney and Chloe; six step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Alice Lucas.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00Noon on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Heinz Funeral Home in Inverness with Pastor Troy Sheppard and Pastor Jim Burnham officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00AM until the hour of service. Interment at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, will follow at 1:30PM.
