Cary, North Carolina - James Scott Taffar, 57, of Cary, NC, passed away on August 6, 2021 at Duke Medical Center after a tragic cycling accident.
Scott is the eldest son of Joyce "Joy" Lindsey Taffar and the late James "Jim" Taffar of Raleigh, NC. He attended Centennial High School in Franklin, Tennessee and graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Management Information Systems.
Scott was an avid triathlete and died doing what he loved. He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Sasha Grace Taffar, age nine, who was the light of his life. He is also survived by his brothers, Todd Taffar and Mark Taffar; sister, Jenna Diehl (Matthew); nephews, Carter Diehl and Owen Taffar; and nieces, Lindsey Diehl and Avery Diehl.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 11am at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens in Wake Forest, NC.
