Has the joy in our souls
Floundered in the shallows of our short lives?
Has the substance of our most precious dreams
Been squandered on worthless and divisive tasks
In the frantic material pursuit of the ephemeral now?
Where is this light on the edge of chaos?
It is there and you are there
There in the interstices of being
In the places and spaces between
Ebbing and flowing in a thousand playful disguises
Pulsating in countless millions of coherent wave forms
Forever writing poems of space
Across the pages of time
And its name is love

Brian was a good man with a quick and sensitive intelligence. I consider him as both friend and mentor
