John William (Bill) Wright
July 7, 2015
Ken and I were close colleagues for nearly a half century in the Dept. of Commerce Laboratories. Our first supervisor, Alan Shapley, asked that I greet Ken upon his arrival on a sunny Sunday, ca. 1960, at the door of what we then called the "Radio Building". Ken's first book, "Ionospheric Radio Propagation" acknowledges material drawn from Vol III Part 1 of the Annals of the International Geophysical Year (1957) by Wright, Knecht and Davies.
I deeply regret that travel will not permit me to attend Ken's Memorial Service on July 18, 2015. I wish to extend my condolences to Joyce, their children and grandchildren.
