Lorraine Frances Azur Patenaude

Mrs. Lorraine Frances Carbonneau Azur Patenaude,79, of Newport, beloved wife of Raymond Patenaude passed away suddenly On June 6, 2008 in Newport. Mrs. Patenaude was born on May 19,1929 the fifth child of ten to Francis and Beatrice (Carter) Carbonneau. She attended schools in Newport and married Malcolm J.Azur on April 26, 1946 who predeceased her. She was the beloved mother of four children: George, Francis, David, and Judy Azur. She married Raymond Patenaude on January 11, 1971 who survives her. Among her hobbies, she enjoyed gardening, flowers, making ceramics, attending her children’s sporting events and playing tennis in younger years. Besides her husband she is survived by her children: Francis Azur and David Azur both of Pittsburg,Pa, Judy O’Connor of Newport, and by four stepchildren and their families: Angel and Robert Stalilonis of Biddeford, Maine, Madeleine and Jeffrey Brids of West Roxbury, Mass, Bernard and Susan Patenuade of Fairfield,Vt; and Guy and Cindy Patenaude of Lebanon, NH; by a sister Helen Doster of Florida, and by four brothers: Lionel Carbonneau of Derby, Harry Carbonneau of Irasburg, Winston Carbonneau and his wife Regina of Derby, and David Carbonneau and his wife Lois, 10 grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, several great grandchildren and by numerous nieces and nephews and by many in-laws of the Patenaude family. She was predeceased by a son George Azur, a stepson Roger Patenaude, brothers: Donald,and Robert Carbonneau and by sisters; Cecilia Probstein and Evalina Favreau. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Monday at the Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford Funeral Home, 4670 Darling Hill, Newport. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday June 10, 2008 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Newport with the Rev. Yvon Royer celebrating a mass of chrsitian burial.
