Wind, Brass, Percussion & Wind Chimes
Dedicated to the Memory: Daniel Vigus
Where sounds the Wind Chimes on the Corinthian leather?
Please blow harder on that reed as moisten English feather.
The Brass sounds fine but where do I put my shaking hands?
First chair now, but notes quite distant on these music stands.
I’m off around with Percussion what too soon directly speaks?
Play one more time up tempo no crescendo flutes horns creaks.
I can fix that instrument it’s a classic always God created well?
Please winds blow harder so parents hear Souza without a bell.
He was proud on my hard work of what I accomplished there.
There’s always joyful music in heaven we need to be prepared.
I can’t thank him enough for my knowledge of this loving art
I feel life’s flavors success contributed from a repetitional start
He who directed me towards winds, brass, and percussion path.
Yes the Knowledge of music is like all languages you love math.
I found the joy he said would never leave me grows in my heart.
God joins us in blowing wind chimes clanging beat simple Harp.
We respect the man, the principal, the director, of great classics.
A gentleman who taught without using words pointing to traffic.
I’m proud to know score isn’t wasted on young Christian souls.
Saints cheer his name well done servant of Most High all goals.

One night last year while tuning up in the "Scrooge" orchestra, an excited whisper went through the pit from player to player: "Dan Vigus is here!" I'm pretty sure that when Dan arrived in heaven this week, the Angel Band set up that same excited buzz: "Dan Vigus is here!". He touched our children's lives in an unforgettable way. To God be the Glory.

I remember Dan leading the YVCS band in playing the William Tell Overture and when they got to the part that has become the Lone Ranger's Theme, everyone stopped and put on Lone Ranger masks, Dan included! Dan was a Godly disciplinarian but he also knew how to have fun. I'm sure he's warming up a band right now in Heaven. He will be missed, but only for a little while, until we are all together again for eternity. Condolences to Nancy and the rest of his family.

Dan Vigus was too precious for this world-the Lord must have needed him more for the heavenly orchestra coming soon!!He taught all three of our sons how to juggle, which end to blow out of on their horns, and most importantly, how to become a Godly, sincere,Christ-like man....we will miss you in this world, but rejoice for you in the next..see you soon....

Our heartfelt sympathies and prayers go out to the Vigus Family on the loss of Dan. We will always remember him for his unwavering devotion to raise each child in the Christian way of life. He will always hold a special place in Eric's heart for the way he inspired his love of music through the Ygnacio Christian School band. May you know that many will miss Dan. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of great sorrow.

We grieve, but not as those who have no hope. Dan and Nancy touched our lives through YVCS almost 30 years ago, and our family has been the better for it. Dan loved our children, and modeled Christ before them, and us. We celebrate his life, and we know his legacy is vast, and remains.
