Alfano, Daniel P. Age 61, of Waukegan, Illinois passed away on May 24, 2012 in Highland Park, Illinois. He was born on September 23, 1950 in Waukegan. Dan was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church and also belonged to the Fraternal Order of Police. Dan was a retired police officer for the city of Waukegan for about 20 years. A private visitation will be held on May 28, 2012 from 3 to 7pm at Marsh Funeral Home with a funeral mass on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 11am at St. Anastasia Church, 624 Douglas Ave. Waukegan, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Police Association Fund or Humane Society of U.S., 2100 L street NW, Washington D.C 20037.

So sorry to hear of Danny's passing. My husband, Ken, worked with him at Vista East about 10 years ago. He was a true gentleman and so wonderful to be around. We would run into him in the most interesting places. May he rest in peace, and may you all find the peace that you need at this time. Danny will be truly missed by all whose lives he touched.

My condolences to the family. I knew Danny from the Swedish Glle Club when we were in hig school. He always had a ready smile and I have so many fond memories of him. He will be missed.
