BARRON, Helen Guess, 76, of Tampa, passed away February 22, 2014. She was born in Stevenson, Alabama. Helen is preceded in death by her parents Foster and Girthel, and survived by her Daughters, Girthel B. (Wayne) Griffin and Doris (Jacob) Ewing and sons Claude M. (Joan) Hawes, and Gerald O. (Deborah) Barron; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; her brothers Sam and David Guess and ex husband George O. Barron. Helen graduated from Robinson High School. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26, from 6 to 8 PM at The Brewer and Sons Funeral Home on South Dale Mabry, South Tampa. There will be a 2nd viewing on Thursday, February 27, from 1 to 2 PM with services starting at 2 PM at The South Tampa Faith Tabernacle Church with Reverend Norma Lambertson officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Helen's name to Jacksonville Teen Challenge, www.teenchallenge.com. Burial will be held at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Bridgeport, Alabama. www.brewerfuneral.com
