William C. "Bill" Ward

William C. "Bill Ward, a resident of Woodlyn, passed away peacefully at home on October 25, 2015 at the age of 83. He was a graduate of West Catholic High School, Class of 1951 and was a 25th Division Medic in the Army during the Korean War. Bill retired from Boeing after 35 years of service. He was a member of the AOH Black Jack Kehoe Division and West Catholic Fathers Club, and enjoyed card games with his friends and going to the Casinos. Devoted husband of Barbara (nee Weeks) for 52 years and loving father of William (Colleen) Ward, Kathleen Ward, Barbie Ward and Dan (Krissy) Ward. Also survived by his dear grandchildren, Daniel Jr., Ryan, Amanda, Natalie, Connor, Sean and Dylan. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Wed. eve. from 7 to 9 pm at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood, and again on Thurs. from 8:30 to 9:15 am at the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass Thursday 10:00 am in Our Lady of Peace Church, Milmont Park.
