Raymond H. Wiseman, age 96, of Hamden, passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at the Jenkins Care Community in Wellston. He was born August 20, 1919 in Orton, Ohio, the son of the late Pearl and Elizabeth Beebe Wiseman. Raymond was a veteran of the United States Army, having served as a Staff Sgt. during WWII. He was a former self-employed truck driver and was also a former car salesman for over 14 years. Raymond was a member of the Puritan Free Will Baptist Church. He is survived by his children, Robert "Rick" Wiseman of Mansfield and Rita Huff of Wellston; brother, Donald Wiseman of Hamden; sisters, Nellie Eberts and Elvetta Eberts, both of Hamden and Irene Walton of Logan, as well as 4 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by brothers, Ottie ,Franklin, Floyd and Glendon Wiseman; sister, Frances Eberts; and son-in-law, Nick Huff. Calling hours will be Saturday from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 P.M. with Pastor David McKnight and Pastor Ross Wiseman officiating. Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion Post 371 of Wellston.
